This is getting old Bungie!
Im getting extremely tired of not being able to play with my boyfriend in the same fireteam in the same -blam!-ing room!. We have been having this same problem for over 3 months now. I understand that figuring this out takes time but you havent been keeping everyone else up to date on whats going on. Instead you blame our ISP and connection? We have tried everything and nothing works. When we play Forza and Halo together we have no problems. I love the game but with all this going on i find myself playing less and less.
Please just fix this already or show everyone else you guys actually care about the players and post something in the notes saying you are working on it or reply to some of the forums. (That automated message is extremely impersonal)

I was so tired I stupily thought I could go to bed and have it work the next day. I STILL CANT GET INTO HIS FIRETEAM! ( if the video does work for you don't be stupid like I was and think it'll work the next damn day)

1 ReplyHey srry for the inconvenience but if u haven't already try changing the last digits of ur IP adress to make each of ur adresses different. Or hook one up w an ethernet cable and the other by wifi. My bro and I play in the same room and it's laggy when we go into 6v6 most the time but playing trials and raiding yesterday was all green bar. But it isn't ur fault, it's bungos for sure. Ever since that one patch that messed all of this up, the local network server users have gotten worse and worse. All we can do know is wait, which sucks but as long as they don't release a patch fixing this problem, they will not fix the problem. Sorry guys :(

Try clearing cache on your xbox, this happened to me and i cleared my cache and it suddenly worked. Not sure if it will work for you but it did for me..

Additionally, this issue will be updated in the This Week at Bungie posts, on Bungie Help's Twitter account (@BungieHelp), and in any patch notes that result in a fix for it. I know it's a pain that you can't play with your boyfriend, but Bungie is working on this. Not long ago, I believe they put out a partial fix that resolved this issue for a number of players. They're still actively working on it. Let me know if there's anything else you need help with. Edit: Also, if possible, try the fix in the video shown above.

I didn't even know about the local Fireteam issue. Since my and my GF didn't have any trouble with it before now. So in other words she just spent money on a multiplayer games that doesn't allow multiplayer. Kinda mad, but just fix it fast Bungie. Please, pretty please.

They don't care. Destiny has had problems ever since launch. THE only thing they fix is the stuff that makes them lose money. An example being the SRL book people got for free. Was fixed NEXT DAY but no we have problems with weapons in both PvE and PvP and nothing.

The situation is frustrating, the ppl at Bungie have to realize how this affects thousands of gamers .. it has side-effects on all activities without matchmaking like raids & nightfall-strikes. IT is really time for a hotfix NOW!

I've had the same f*cking problem for months! I can't play with my son and it's getting really annoying!! And the lack of communication on BUNGIE'S part on this issue is RIDICULOUS!!! NO EXCUSES when a game is so heavily based on working together! Ahhhhh!! I don't even know why I'm gonna post this BUNGIE will never respond........

How are you connecting to the Internet for both consoles? You need a quality (low latency, not high speed) connection to play Destiny. Other games just shovel a little data back and forth. Destiny is pretty much all processing online. When Crackdown 3 launches you will see an even higher quality connection required; but for now there are no other games to compare against Destiny. There are, in reality, a small percentage of people talking about the issues - but the majority are fine. If it was an actual server side issue then it would affect everyone; but it doesn't. How fast is your internet? If both of you are connected but one console takes all the bandwidth it will disconnect you.

I guess the only way to keep this alive is to keep reporting this.
