ffs. Trying to play overwatch on console at master rank, and seemingly every other person has one
inb4 "git gud, they are just better than you"
People who use it are literally cheating and ruin the game for those of us who play normally. Why is this product allowed to exist, or at least not bannable in online multiplayer?
Edit- big surprise, most people just assumed that i'm bad or salty, when all i tried to do was bring up a legitimate issue. not that i expected anything less.
anyone know any forums with less, shall we say, presumptuous members that don't find it necessary to pretend that they are superior to everyone else?
Like it or not, it's not cheating. Although it probably does give an advantage. But then, if you're that competitive, surely you'd want the best peripherals to better your game?

2 RepliesI kind of agree. Anyone who has been decent at both computer shooters and console shooters knows you can do things with a mouse you just can't with a controller. It's really rather silly because the proof is in the games themselves- why do all console shooters have higher aim assist and magnetism than PC shooters? Well because it's harder to aim. Now I only partially agree because I don't know how playing with one of these adapter things works because if you still have to follow the laws of a controller I could see the advantage being negligible, but full on PC capabilities would be a shit show. Now OP you sound like an idiot because there is no chance you know who is playing with one of these things or not so you're just complaining and blaming something else because you aren't as good as you think you are.

28 RepliesAww poor baby. You can't compete with the mouse and keyboard users, maybe you're not as good as you think you are. I use a controller for multiplayer games on my pc and I still manage to have a 1.75 to a 2.0 and above on all my games. Quit whining, either adapt or stop playing.

5 RepliesHow is that cheating? The last time I played a computer game the mouse and keyboard it felt really awkward compared to a good controler.
-
How do you know? Is everyone telling you they are using it?
-
How in the world can you tell they are even using XIM? Only real way you could tell is they tell you themselves.

According to both Microsoft and Sony they are not against TOS because they still pass all commands through the controller. Because of this mouse movement is only as fast as a controller. I actually own a Xim4 and rarely ever use it because quite frankly it is nothing like the real deal. I rarely play on either of my consoles as it is anyway; if it actually did work like native m&k support I might play on them more. Besides that, they'll never ban it anyway because it actually does allow disabled gamers who can't use a controller to play games on a console; and neither MS or Sony want to lose those customers; their money is more important than anyone's feelings getting hurt.

1 ReplyI don't think I agree with this. There are many alternatives to a standard controller, across all games. Fight sticks and a wheel set up come to mind.

15 RepliesClearly everyone who beats you is cheating somehow.

1 ReplyEdited by Aldrich: 10/17/2016 7:43:56 PMThis could be a potential byproduct of cross platform gaming as well. I'm not gonna tell you to git gud. I will tell you to get used to it though. Because if true cross platform ever becomes a thing, well this. Paddles vs Mouse and keys. This is also true in racing sims. If you have a wheel rig with clutch and shifter, you have an advantage because you can shift more quickly than an AI transmission. Edit Perks of Sony saying no to crossplat shenanigans? XD

2 RepliesWhat is a XIM?
