This will be a reoccurring theme for the life of destiny. They want you to be able take the weapons you find and use them in the crucible but they can't make those weapons too powerful because then that's all people will use. It's sad because we could have some really cool exotics and abilities but with pvp as a consideration they'll never be able to really let loose.
