I honestly don't understand why people think that exotic is over powered. Each class has a piece of armor that allows them to carry two grenades so what is the big deal? I use them and I certain don't see any advantage in having an extra skip grenade. If you throw both grenades back to back you are stuck waiting for the grenade to recharge anyway and that is just for ONE grenade not both.

Equip lucky raspberry before every round then switch back as round starts, yay, full grenade again...!
-
The problem in my opinion is that if I am being tracked by an axion bolt or a swarm grenade, I can sprint and outrun it. However, if I've taken like a quarter of my health bar and they throw a skip, they track you so aggressively that you can't outrun them.
-
Gotta turn up that agility. I have out run them before. Sure its not as easy as out running an axiom or swarm grenade but it can be done.
-
Try playing trials against a team all using them and see if you feel the same way about them.
-
Ahh. That is the real issue then. Its not when people are on a level playing field, its when the light levels count. That makes sense. I don't play Trials often enough so that is why I didn't know.
-
Because they're extremely strong and very easy to use. Skip grenades are practically the Viking Funeral + Firebolt of this meta.
-
I think you're smoking something because I certainly can't land a kill with just a one skip grenade.
-
I think you misunderstood what I just said. But whatever. No time to explain.
-
Yeah that gun isn't all that it cracks up to be. But if you're comparing the skip grenades to a firebolt+viking funeral that means one grenade will kill out. It takes both skip grenades to kill a person in crucible. That or one skip grenade and then finish them off with your primary. Either way the skip grenades are not as powerful as firebolt and viking funeral.
-
Actually, yes, they are. Vikingbolts left someone with 5% health left, Skip Grenades hitting someone with a full charge also leave them with 5% health left, killable by a single headshot with any Primary, or even body shot. With Skip Grenades, you have once choice if they track you; run, and be chased across the map - or die. Vikingbolts did the same thing, if you got iht, you either ran, and hid for 10 seconds while you recoevered, or you died.
-
No different than a well placed lightning grenade or tripmine. At least with skip grenades there isn't that god awful burn.
-
I beg to differ. Zone grenades don't track you from Blind Watch to Shores of Time. Don't get me wrong: Lightning grenades still pack a mean punch. But any Guardian worth his weight in The Crucible will be outta that zone well before the second tick of damage, having taken 122 and that's it. Skips not only force you to evacuate the immediate area, they effectively disengage you from any firefight as long as you are being pursued and then while you recover behind cover.
