Exotic doesn't mean it's supposed to be better.
It just means it's a fancy one of its kind.
Think swords with names. You can have a normal broad sword, or could have Excalibur. (Honestly don't know if Excalibur is a broad sword).
They are basically the same. One just sounds cooler

I'm still with the reality, assuming Excalibur was real Edit: and really I said think of named swords. Swords with names are same as swords without names. They are just cooler
