Get a real exotic sword.

This whole free exotic argument is retarded. Touch of Malice No time to Explain Khovostov Are these the best weapons in the game since we worked for them? Hell First Curse and Chaperone should be godlike... It's a useless Exotic sword. The least they could do is make the special attack take 5 ammo. At most? Make it last longer and make enemies in it take even more damage.

It's a free exotic sword you get for completing a 45 minute story line. It should be complete shit compared to the grueling quest that are the real 3 elemental swords. Young Wolf's Howl should remain inferior to the 3 swords - don't make the game any easier.

It also hits multiple targets plus debuffs.

Just make it use the same 5 ammo as other swords, and not bounce enemy's up OUT of the ground fire effect.

I think its fine for how easy it is to obtain the sword. Imagine if it was as effective as the Raze Lighter or Dark Drinker. It just would not make sense. Think of it as a starter exotic sword.

I've been defending the idea of buffing this weapon for a while, against people with the idea that an Exotic shouldn't be worth it if it's free (preaching this to me, the guy who found his first Gjallarhorn in the dust of the Refinery in Cosmodrome patrol. Or the fact that numerous quested weapons in the past with difficult challenges are subpar). While I'm all for the buff.. I don't think it should get more damage. At the very least, cost less. Maybe a slight buff to it's debuff's damage bonus, like 15% to 20%? but that itself is not necessary. What I think they should do with it, and with some other swords and future swords, is make new goddamned sword archtypes. So far, all sword have the same base damage, range, defense... there's really only one archtype of sword, the only difference is the energy stat. Like.. why doesn't the Howl... Do less damage per hit, but instead swing faster? It's a smaller sword than the others exotic swords. Why not make it have more defense? structurally it's the most stable of the swords (Dark Drinker looks like it should break under it's own weight at the hilt Hell it's not even connected to the hilt, just the to rods into the crystal.) I don't understand why they didn't try and make it a DIFFERENT kind of sword, instead of making it simply a weaker clone. The same can be said about Dreadfang, or the the Infinity swords. At one point I even came up with ideas for class specific swords.. Examples: [spoiler] Iron Defender: Best base defense, blocking aura is larger and all allies in the aura gain 1/2 the damage reduction, and you suffer reduced knockback. Lower attack speed, increased base damage. Stalker's Blade: Blocking makes you go invisible. Increased attack speed, decreased damage and range. No R2. The Singing Sword: Hits with this weapons R2 restore melee and grenade energy to you and nearby allies. High efficiency and energy, lowest R2 damage. [/spoiler] Don't make it simply on par with the other swords, make it different!

No because then it'll be as good as the swords that you actually had to work for. You got the thing for basically doing nothing. It's fine for what it is. Just because you like it doesn't mean it needs buffed.

To be fair, it shouldn't be as good as the other 3 exotic swords because you were given it for free. The other ones you had to grind hardcore for.

There is something called periods. Please use them.

I've been pondering whether I should keep mine or not. I already have a Dark Drinker.
