So, just as an example, the Distant Star with full auto is exactly the same as the Mida. With the artifact that grants enhanced radar and 3rd eye with primaries, i have all the perks of using Mida, but with full auto and still 2 exotic slots open.
That doesnt make me angry, but it does make me wonder why I should even keep my Mida, and if im not excited about getting an exotic, tuen whats the point of them?

Because for that to work you need an artifact. And a distant star without shitty perks Using mida instead opens an artifact slot with those perks, plus a speed boost.

Distant is more rare. Can only get it from IB. and if we are all real unlucky it'll be unbent tree and shotgun over and over, leaving it to chance to even get one, let alone god rolled.

There are fewer gear options available as a reward in IB than the entire exotic list. To get a mida you first need to generate an engram, then hope its a primary, then hope it rolls a mida. To get a distant star you need to play IB until it drops for you. This is, of course, assuming xur isnt selling mida, and that you didnt buy it last time he sold it.

I can get a distant star with third eye and full auto. The speed boost alone is hardly worth the exotic slot
