I completely see where you are coming from. My question is... When Destiny was being revealed, they often said that Exotics are Weapons and armor that will alter and/or force players to change their playstyle. They are unique items that mix up the gameplay of the game, but with some strings attached. They never said Exotics are meant to be powerhouses, nor that they are the end all be all. I believe that as a Community? Ganers are use to the "Rarest" items being the "best" items. Its funny because once again...Bungie denies this being an MMORPG yet they once again copy their system. White > Green > Blue > Purple > Yellow (Orange in some Games) Is often the Rarity system. The color dictates the rarity and 95% of the time, rarer is stronger. But while I loathe to defend Bungie. They never once said Exotics were the most powerful. They only promised they would change up gameplay, have some quirks, and stand out.
