So with our guardians we have
Killed the vex gods
Killed the God of the hive
Killed the god of gods (hive)
Killed the kell of jells
Killed the ultimate being the archon prime
Slayed dozens of kells, archons, primes, valus, we became iron lords.
We have done it all. But if destiny two is to start a clean slate our guardians must go out with a bang and here's how I think it should go
Raid: Hero's descend
Cayde: guardian we just received a very powerful energy reading coming from Venus, near the vault... The readings are phenomenal. There's only one vex powerful enough to cause this. He's dead. Go check it out
You spawn at the entrance of the vault and there's a wave of minotaurs you kill them until you get cores to power the plates then proceed as the normal vault of glass.
You enter the Templar room and there's siva infested fallen
Cayde: are you guys seeing this?
Saladin: but we destroyed siva!
Ghost: siva is a technology right, what if it sent its programming somewhere else before we killed the archon prime?
Cayde: guardian, if the energy readings are what I think they are, siva found a way to use the Vex' ability to manipulate time. And they brought atheon back.
Zavala: it's nothing the guardian hasn't dealt with before.
Ghost: also this siva seems to be upgraded, if you die I can't revive you or else it'll destroy me. You'll need guardians light to protect me.
no revives, revives only possible if a supered guardian uses his Light to create a shield around the ghost
Confluxes: protect the confluxes, no sacrifices allowed, you will be attacked by siva infected vex and fallen, servitors will spawn at the end and you need to find the proper core to disable the confluxes and move on
Void arc solar, multiple will spawn only one will contain the proper core, 3 phases confluxes red pawn till phase 3
Oracles- no longer stationary the oracles will teleport after a few seconds, final oracle wil be stationary but will require 3 supered guardians to slam their light into it
Templar- templar with siva bomb mechanics, and its regular mechanics. the last oracle of each phase requires a super to destroy with its light
Templar teleports and his shield must be taken down with the relic then his second shield must be brought down with siva bombs
Gorgon's- they now teleport, random areas of siva swarms
Time keeper- a third portal spawns in the middle taking you to the past, where you killed the original atheon and time keeper.
Same mechanics as the original, fallen and vex attack you, captains are fused with minotaurs as a result of splicers, time keeper is immune to all damage, his shield must be brought down by an outbreak prime.
Atheon
He will now send you back to the future, past, or present past so to speak, where you killed him, each portal requires 2 plates to open.
The hardest encounter yet requires maximum team effort
3 guardians will be sent to either
Past
Present past
Future. Their job is to kill oracles to grant times vengeance.
The outside team
2 must stand on plates that spawned an oracle and hold it down from harpies and shanks
The 6th player will be teleported through the portal that didn't get opened and will have to fight a random boss, who drops a siva charge that is thrown at a siva triangle shit that unlocks the relic to enable DPS (times vengeance doesn't start until the relic is picked up)
Each boss has its own mechanic
Possible bosses
Thalnok- kill a knight and sword him to death
Riksis- temporarily gain a lord of wolves to damage him
One of the flayers- kill a captain to get a scorch cannon and take them out
Gatekeeper-super charges quickly to kill him
Echo of oryx- dunk him with a charged super (your light) then kill him.
Once the oracles are down, the ultra is killed, and the siva charge disrupts the cage and you have the relic you begin DPS, do this 2-4 times.
When atheon hits 25% health the "ghost" of your character will appear in front of your fire team (middle platform) Doing DPS along with you (this is the past versions of your guardians assisting you in defeating the new atheon) they're all wearing VOG raid armor and using VOG weapons
5% you hit a cutscene
Your guardians are doing DPS
Cayde: GHOST BEGIN TRANSMAT THEYRE SELF DESTRUCTING THE ENTIRE VAULT. THEY WANT TO MAKE IT A BLACK HOLE GET OUT
*Your guardian calmly*
It'll kill everyone. Ghost get out of here.
Ghost: I was there when you were reborn. I'll be here now
*other characters say their goodbyes*
the mission ends with the vault exploding but not before we kill atheon, the lack of his power only shatters Venus and doesn't consume our entire solar system. You die a legend. The legend who Slayed atheon, crota, skolas, oryx, and finally put an end to the siva corruption. Another cutscene of our allies mourning our death ensues and we get a statue or some shit and an achievement.
Our funeral would be a coffin with some gear from our vault as our bodies are gone, shaxx, Zavala, Cayde, and saladin would carry our coffin and then they light it on fire.
Boom. Epic conclusion to our epic quests.

2 RepliesAre you kidding? The BEST you could hope for is a series of Grimoire cards you will have to collect to fill out a book that does a poor job of "explaining" what happened to your Guardian. Oh, and you will have to purchase the book from Eververse!

10 RepliesCool Idea... But I would rather see somthing like this
So say we die at the beginning of D2, just like Mass Effect 2. Only we don't need a (frankly) convoluted, silly million-dollar man excuse for how our characters come back -- we have everything we need in the game's lore. The Light is non-definite space magic, guys. Boot up D2. Die to some great terror (Cabal invade, trash the Tower/sack the Last City). We wake up, just like in D1, maybe a hundred years later, with our ghost finding us. "What do you remember?" it asks. "Before you -- died." And we answer. "I remember... The void. I remember training. I remember the Darkness. And... the Light." "The Traveler is... Well, not gone," says Ghost. "But not the same. In fact," he laments, "a lot's not the same. You're not the Iron Lord you used to be." Boom. New, different classes. New worlds, with different kinds of social spaces. Major changes. And yet, we're still the same Guardians, and our legend is still there. Perhaps we revisit Felwinter Peak, and more than just reclaiming, we remember our titles as Iron Lords. We travel to a Dreadnought shattered by the Cabal fleet and remember our deeds, unlocking little bonuses along the way as the game checks our past accounts. The bonuses could be anything in the context of a new game. We visit a settlement on Venus, in some old Ishtar ruins, where the denizens remember fondly the legend of the Guardians who defeated Atheon. "That... that was us," we say. "Yes," says Ghost. And one of the pilgrims whispers reverently, "You fought through the Dark. We wouldn't be here if not for you." And they give us a quest. Visit the Vault of Glass once more, now silent
That was quite the ending, But with destiny 2 they want us to grow, so to just kill us and have us restart would be kinda upsetting... But for the actual ending of the game, that would be really cool!
-
5 RepliesI like the idea but I think there needs to be an epic return of dinklebot tho :)
-
That is a -blam!-ing epic ending. Also fits the idea of the vault of glass as a loop. You start there and end there

...or Bungie can, with the release of Destiny 2, make the attempt to not piss off and alienate much of their fan base and give us some kind of choice instead of forcing an all-or-nothing decision upon us.
-
If my toons don't come with us to destiny 2 I won't get it... I haven't spent 2 years, 3 by the time it's over, making myself legendary. To start over again making new legendary person. All my characters are exos they should live forever
-
Yeah... that wouldn't be a huge slap in the face. Remember Mass Effect 3 doing that? It was embraced by their fans. Oh wait... Bungie said that we'd get to transfer our character. What they didn't say, was that we'd get to keep everything we have in Destiny 1. Here's my prediction, based on what little we know. The first mission shows our Guardian flying over an enemy base. We're shot down. The crash destroys our ship, gear, and weapons. As we progress, the Darkness is almost physical. It forces Ghost to revert back to his default shell. (This gets rid of all our D1 gear that we have equipped) Stuff happens, we get to the boss room. We kill him, but we've been in this heavy Darkness too long. Our Light is drained, and we're back at level 1. Mission Complete screen. We get back to the Tower. Everyone assumed we died due to no communication. Our vault has been cleared. (All our D1 gear is now gone) The benefit of playing D1 is that our subclasses are still leveled and our Guardians are still alive. New players would see the same mission, except their gear is randomly generated and their subclasses aren't leveled up at all. That's my theory, anyway.

I like the conclusion where I uninstall the game better.
dont worry fanboys, it's just satire.
-
You have to have a outbreak prime just so it doesn't come forward and start fresh.... f that, won't be getting destiny 2.
-
Or, many years have passed and the traveler is almost dead. you and your ghost are almost out of light and you are dying of old age, the warlocks have found a way to transfer your consciousness to another host, so you finally visit the last city and explore to find a willing body to take over you finally find a odd figure that has seemed to absorb a tremendous amount of light from the traveler. The catch is , the only way for the person to agree is that you have to hand over all your treasure to his family because they live in the slums. They take everything of value, minus shaders, emblems, sparrows, horns, and ships. They do not take the ships because of a new technology that locks ships and binds them to your consciousness
and the shipwright
you finally get the concience transfer and you can begin your next adventure as a new entity a cross between normal civilians and guardian
I dont know if this would fit into the lore its just my theory
9 RepliesEdited by Paradox1055: 10/14/2016 9:59:42 PMIt is great! Honestly, I really like the concept, but I think something simpler could work to. Here is my idea. Tower Assault Something is attacking the City... Heck, it could be all of the current enemies-- Fallen, Hive, Vex, and Cabal. Your guardian is sent down to the City (finally) to fight off the endless waves of enemies. As you fight, and inevitably take damage, your armor begin to break-- visor gets cracks. Eventually, you and your team will be overwhelmed by the enemy. When your health bar reaches red (Shields are increased during mission) it will turn to a cutsene... >As a last ditch effort to save your ghost, and potentially yourself, you summon him/her/it then throw said ghost as far as possible. The video cuts to your ghost as he watches your guardian die. In Destiny 2, it begins with the previous cutsene-- Throw away your ghost, ghost watches you die. It cuts to your ghost flying around the city streets. Smoke still rises and small fires are here and there. Once again, your ghost revives you and you inspect your hands. "Welcome back, pal... The enemy retreated, but the guardians are pushing an attack! We should join them!" He says. (All in first person) Your guardian puts on his/her/its helmet, then, reaches down and picks up whatever weapon you had in your inventory in Destiny 1. From here, your back in the fight as your preferred guardian, bit there is still potential for new stuff-- worlds, characters, Light, etc.
-
Nah. It should be defeating a new enemy race boss without dying. Then, you get some epic special powers.
-
Like the idea but think the final boss should be xylar the timeless...

Edited by Just Shaded: 10/16/2016 3:32:45 PMIf our characters don't move into destiny 2 I'm quitting. We were told before the game even released our guardians would follow us through the whole 10 year journey. If they're going to go back on that now they don't deserve any more money than they've already gotten from us for a broken game.

3 RepliesOr we just get shot in the back of the head by some treacherous hunter. Because we all know hunters will back stab you in the end.
-
4 RepliesI like your idea...how about we make it a cinematic and put it in Eververse for 500 silver? :D
-
2 RepliesNah, an elite shoots you in the head with a needler rifle. ~ Nyahh! =^,.,^=
-
1 ReplyThis is actually a dope idea, a perfected VOG would be crazy!
-
2 RepliesThere's one flaw: No one remembers Atheon. He was killed in the vault of glass, resulting in him being forgotten as if he never existed. Not even the vanguard knows we killed him. There's no way siva or fallen would know who he is either. Not only that, but if we were killed in the vault, the vanguard wouldn't even remember us or the things we did. We would be forgotten as well.

Liked this, GG.

3 RepliesNostalgia whoring at its worst. Game's over, move on. Stuff like this? Pathetic.
-
1 ReplyI want mine to go out while I'm riding Crota Woman.
-
I would cry because I spent a lot of time of grinding to see my guardians death
-
I loved the ending of Halo Reach, this was good too, but it isn't as heroic.

Awesome
