FINALLY GOT THE EXOTIC FACTION QUEST, but...
You NEED a taken king non-chroma class item to do it. What?
I spent some legendary marks to get the new class item right when I got the quest, spent 30 minutes in patrol killing stuff then check my progress. 0%.
Bungie, this needs to be fixed. It's been an issue since the April update. I have no way of progressing in this quest.
Edit: Yes I know the chroma ones work, but you think after patching them they'd make sure the new ones worked ESPECIALLY the one they decide to sell.

3 RepliesNo they fixed the April bug, this is another one caused by exactly the same thing but only affecting year 3 class items. You can use the spektar class items you get in Chroma packages to progress the quest. These have a pretty high drop rate so it shouldn't take too long to get one.

The new once do work tho. Did NM on my lock and worked fine. I had one equipted that had vanguard rep boost, maybe thats the difference now that crucible boost dont work. But the chroma once do work now. They patched that with RoI. But you can always try to get a faction class item that doesnt have the RoI logo on it.

Rank 56 no shader dead orbit... Even so much I started dead orbit on warlock still no shader

I've heard of this issue but the HoW era class item I got dropped out of a package seems to be working fine for me.
