Locust Vs. The Swarm: Which is better?
Alright Gears Of War fans, here's a poll for u. Gears Of War 4 was released recently and it introduces a new Locust-type enemy called The Swarm. The question is, r they better than their Locust predecessors or r they inferior to the Locust. It's your call. Vote and discuss now!

You're not a true fan if you say the Swarm... They're The Coalition's way of saying, "Dammit we shouldn't have killed the Locusts" The Swarm are less interesting, they're designs are horrible, and they never posed as a real threat in Gears 4, even though there's never a real threat in Gears of War. Edit: The Swarm also lack the brutal nature of the Locusts, all they do is [spoiler]Kidnapp people and put them In pods[/spoiler] while the locust dismembered, tortured and down right killed people in cold blood in the worst ways possible. -

The Locust may have brought humanity to its knees, but the Swarm are basically the Locust and Lambent deciding to team up to destroy humanity. Not to mention the notion of where things like Carriers, Snatchers, and Pouncers come from is a bit terrifying. At least we had an idea of where most of the Locust stuff came from.

I just think they look goofy. The only swarm guy I like is the Scion Elite/Armored(although I could go without the crystal shit, he's the closest thing we have to a real drone). Hopefully they add in Cyclops, GoW2 Sniper, maybe classic Grenadier/Savage Grenadier, Myrrah, and Kantus in DLCs. I got lucky and got the DR-1 Protector DB off of one of the free packs they give out, so I'll just use him till I get enough for the armored scion.

I tip my hat to the Locust, but that's because we got to learn their culture and motivations. I'm all fairness, the Swarm haven't established much of a history yet.

I'm loving the swarm, seeing as they're also a human/locusts hybrid just makes me love fighting them more. I'll go with swarm just because they're the new kids. Sidenote: I think it's interesting how Locusts form Swarms as well. The Coalition has been hinting this the whole time without me noticing.

They are definitely superior to the Locust, since they are the next evolutionary stage of locust. They are harder to kill because they have adapted and somehow they are still lambent, and obviously they started out as a failed super soldier experiment

The Swarm is just at stage 1 so locusts by far , but who knows what the swarm can do in the future.
