Completely incorrect. In one you fight Aksis and the other you fight the Templar. All jokes aside, Templar you take out his shield and burn him down while he shoots back at you. Simple as that. Aksis you first have to kill Captains, take their cannons, blow up Servitors, organize empowered Guardians, throwing balls at Aksis, stun him, shoot him, stun him again, shoot him again, stun him again, shoot him again, jump on a pillar to not get wiped, rinse and repeat until he pulls an Oryx and you have to burn him down one more time.

I haven't attempted the raid but this sounds annoying

It's actually not, it's very simplistic. Play it yourself before you judge it.
