IB this time around for me was rough, I don't think I've ever come across a pvp mode in any game that I despised more than Supremacy. I'm a team tactics kind of guy, my goal in any pvp game is to keep my team alive as best I can while taking out the other team. Naturally, Destiny is terrible in regards to such game play in pvp, but seriously... Supremacy is the complete opposite of this, in pretty much every way. Destiny has always been this way of course; breeding pvp'ers who prioritize suicide tactics in their attempt to be the "highest scorer" rather than survival, or even winning, but this is ridiculous.
I ground my way to r5 on all three characters in IB this week, and literally 99% of the combat I encountered came down to who fired their shotgun first. I love my primaries, scout and pulse rifles with my new favorite being the Khvostov for its adaptability, but I found myself having to use shotguns out of absolute necessity. Between the insane speed in which players are able to close long distances now and the fact that most of the new maps seem to be designed with shotguns in mind, it feels like Bungie has found their new favorite weapon and they're making sure everyone gets to enjoy it as much as they do.
