HARD MODE PULSE RIFLE- Why Hakke Pulse Rifles Need a Major Change (and secret round perk)

Hakke Pulse Rifles Need to Change

Hakke is just as good as Grasp/Hopscotch/Hawksaw

I am biased toward Hakke

I am a pulse rifle nut and always have been. I do a lot of digging and messing with them and just love them to death overall. From that love, breeds hate lol. Hakke pulse rifle are flat out TERRIBLE. I’ve heard people tout Lyudmila and Herja, but honestly how many times have either of these guns killed you? The main problem with these guns in my observation is the fact that they fire a 4-bullet burst per trigger pull rather than three. Stability is affected by continuous fire on any weapon. The fourth burst causes more “bounce” and the cumulative effect after firing a barrage of bullets is a very unstable gun with stupid recoil and is shit for a lack of a better term. I’ve had these guns with max stability and it makes NO difference. The result is still NONCOMPETITIVE with other Pulse rifle alternatives. Note about the Secret Round Perk If you have this perk on a pulse it essentially turns your pulse into a hake style UNLESS you are connecting well with your bursts. Therefore, the perk is trashy. It destroys stability and sucks. However, it’s MUCH easier to overcome than a Hakke because as long as you stay on target, you’re good. I mention this because although this perk is not ideal, it is a possible solution to make the raid pulse rilfe better, but I will get to that below. Keep reading. My overall point here is that the fourth burst is not a boon, but a HINDRANCE. With the Raid pulse rifle coming, I am not looking forward to the results. I’d like to see it changed even before using it (as ridiculous as that sounds). I am fairly certain of the result and that it will be unfavorable. With the Rise of Iron expansion, we have TWO major endgame pulses that are Hakke design. Those two Pulse Rifles and some slight notes are as follows: • Blind Perdition (Trials of Osiris)  Seems to not fire 4 bursts like all other Hakke Pulse, yet suffers from the stability drawback of all other Hakke’s. • Steel Medulla~ (Wrath of the Machine [HARD MODE])  Full Auto (stability loss)  Four burst focused perk Suggested Change to Steel Medulla I made another thread about this. I think an easy change for the raid pulse is to make it a Suros with the middle scope on the old vendor roll Hawksaw, of course with SIVA influence. :) I honestly think the full auto perk is meh and since the other perk centers around a fourth burst, it should maybe just have secret round instead of full auto. So since secret round is not QUITE as bad as a full on Hakke, the gun's behavior can be retained but changed to a model that will be more practical and usable. So the summary of the changes are: -Change from Hakke to Suros -Change Full Auto to Secret round -Make sure to use the best Suros Pulse scope (scope 2 on most Hawksaws) Anyhow, discuss thoughts etc. Hopefully Bungie can maybe change these guns to something actually useful. Thanks for reading.
