You kids have no idea how easy the Thorn quest is this year...
Seriously. Anyone complaining about the RNG factor of this quest needs to look back into the days of yore when deaths in the crucible counted against the progress and sidearms with ammo on spawn didn't exist.
I just completed the crucible step of this quest in about 9 rounds of supremacy. K/D be damned.
Special thanks to my void god roll Wormwood.
That's all. Now get off my lawn.
Edit: ...and complete. In less than 24 hours. Was running strikes looking for key. Dropped into Abomination Pit, killed ogre...Key Dropped right there...opened chest ...profit.

ummm.. coming from a "well below avg" crucible player and Y1 dude. it was easy back then too. just took a little longer. void shotty\heavy on control and just hang near zone B. play it safe instead of crazy. or just you an some buddies jump into free for all. and stand still lol I'm sure the guys that had atheon ep' prior to getting the thorn had an easier time. But Thorn was my very first exotic. only took a weekend to complete.
