Anyone complaining about the RNG factor of this quest needs to look back into the days of yore when deaths in the crucible counted against the progress and sidearms with ammo on spawn didn't exist. I just completed the crucible step of this quest in about 9 rounds of supremacy. K/D be damned. Special thanks to my void god roll Wormwood. That's all. Now get off my lawn. Edit: ...and complete.
