Account Hacked, Lost Rise of Iron

My XBL account was recently hacked and I was just able to retrieve it with help from Microsoft. Upon getting access to my account again I tried to load into destiny so I could do the various weekly activities, however the game has me locked out of all the activities related to rise of iron. In the games store it says the content is downloaded on my console but also offers me the option to purchase a copy of the expansion. I'm just looking for some sort of explanation to why this is happening and if anyone knows how I can recover the content with out having to buy it a second time.

  • Literally just happened to my sons account! Did you have any luck? Was it a ban? What did you find out? Thanks

    • Once content is bought, Microsoft attaches the license for it to your account. So unless that license was removed (which only Microsoft can do), you should be able to download/access your content. Please try clearing your Cache: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539 And then restoring your license: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181 If neither of these help you, then you will to contact Microsoft support to ensure the license for Rise of Iron is still attached to your account.

Try clearing the console cache. Pull the power plug from the console for a few minutes. I don't see how a hack can destroy your purchase history / license history. Characters and loot? sure. Buying stuff you don't want? sure. But in terms of consoles, hacking usually just means they logged onto your account like YOU would and did things that YOU could potentially do. And I don't think YOU (or I) have the ability to wipe a purchase from our history. -EDIT- Nevermind, I guess there are some deeper dev tools floating around. Thanks @U513439
