OK Bungie, thanks for making every activity rain engrams like a pinata being smashed by Barry Bonds, we really do appreciate it. Here's the thing, they really screw up the postmaster.
Please make the postmaster operate like this:
- Green class items can't push anything out of the postmaster.
- Blue items can't push anything legendary or exotic out of the postmaster.
- Legendary items can't push exotics out of the postmaster.
If you could do that, it would be really great.
Thank you!

15 RepliesPretty simple fix for you. If you are planning on playing for a good amount of time, log in to Destiny Item Manager and set your character to auto vault engrams. With this enabled, all engrams you pick up (not greens) will be automatically sent to the vault.
-
3 RepliesTHIS. Also how come you can't dismantle items in the postmaster?

Word!

1 ReplyI as well as other heavy players are also at that point where you kinda wanna keep some stuff in your vault, I made some space, with sacrifice, it's not easy to keep sets of armor, multiple legendaries (unlike exotics, they have specific rolls and can't just be bought), SoL masks, etc.. Took me about an hour of shuffling to free up 10 armor spots and 30 weapon spots, albeit my character is loaded full and these 351/352/353/354 drops don't help.

Super mega bump

Greend arent supposed to go to the postmaster at all. It is just another bug that they don't address
-
3 Repliesi agree, a blue engram should never push a legendary out of the postmaster, i had 2 red spectre's go bye byes because of this. my fault for not claiming them (in my defense i never expected so many blues to drop from archons forge), but it would be nice to have some kind of hierarchy.

9 RepliesEdited by GrundleBeans: 10/4/2016 7:35:45 PMI've never had a green engram show up in my postmaster. I don't know whether there's some condition people are in that allows that to happen (like how not finishing the story missions used to make green engrams still drop), if it's a bug only some people experience, or if people are assuming greens push things out of the postmaster, which they don't. The simplest of fixes is to A) don't treat your postmaster like it's extra storage, because it's not and never was supposed to be, or B) make it paged so they can allow a higher limit. But again, it's not meant to be extra vault storage, so don't ignore it and pick up your stuff.

Bump... I'm scared I might have missed the one time rng might have given me something cool and I didn't realize it.

1 ReplyEdited by MjolnirSliver99: 10/4/2016 5:33:50 PMAlright, I have to know whats going on. I have gone to orbit with 3 greens right in front of me and they are most certainly not waiting for me at the postmaster. However, im seeing people below say they sometimes have 20, 30+ greens in the postmaster. Is this a glitch? A toggle in some sort of settings? Im very curious. Cause I can honestly say since ROI release I have had exactly 0 greens at the postmaster. Edit: Only warlock greens? This would make sense for me; ive only played Hunter since release.

1 ReplyGood idea. Your link isn't working for me though.

The real problem is not enough vault space. If they doubled what we currently have, then the postmaster wouldn't even be an issue. Fix the real problem. Don't put a band-aid on an arterial spray wound and think it's going to be okay.

1 ReplyEdited by shadowkin900: 10/4/2016 4:53:30 PMHow about an unlimited Post Office? I like to stick with a task if we're tearing it up. Only return to the Social area to clean up stuff and spend time examining things. I'd spend more time helping people do strikes, patrols and forge if I wasn't worried that I might miss a loot drop as I fill up. I even take the time to scrap when I can. Hell if it's an economy or DB management thing, then root lock from activities until it's been cleaned once a user goes above a certain pending PO level and has returned to social zone.

4 RepliesLet us dismantle stuff at the post master. Would make a lot of things easier.

18 RepliesGreens don't go to the Postmaster, only rare, legendary and exotic. That being said, I mostly agree. It would be nice to be able to manage the Postmaster from, say, the Companion App. OR perhaps have a user setting on the Postmaster that allows the player to choose its behavior. It stinks to have to leave your Vanguard streak just because you start losing stuff after three or four strikes.
-
4 RepliesIf you plan well in advance you shouldn't need more than 2 equipment pieces for each slot going into any activity. That leaves room for 72 engrams in inventory and 20 at the postmaster. If you manage to fill your inventory, as soon as you start to see engrams reject for space, take a minute to go through your inventory and delete things. If you are in the raid, have everyone agree to pause between encounters to purge. It's not difficult to manage things if you have a plan.

THAT .. That's. That's actually a great idea
