Tip for Rank up Packages! Choose wisely
(Cryptarch rank ups excluded)
Your rank with this faction has increased!
Now you have to choose one of three package options: Armor, Chroma or Weapons.
Let math do the work..
For this, I'll take away the chroma package, assuming you've collected them already..
Take a look at your weapons, add the totals of each weapon you have including your ghost and divide the total by 4. Remember the number.
Now, separately, add the totals of your armor including your artifact, and divide the total by 6. Remember the number.
If your weapons have a higher value than you armor, I recommend choosing an armor package.
If your armor has a higher value than your weapons, I recommend choosing a weapon package.
This should help get the most of your rank up packages! Good luck

I know this is a couple months old but it's helped me figure out what section I need to raise up both my weapons and armor are pretty consistent I just have to work on weapons they're slightly below my armor.

(Only exception is outbreak prime which comes at 390) I would recommend all high light level players save exotic engrams and skeleton keys for when the hard mode raid drops. You will gain more from them than if you used them now. Psst [spoiler]Valus Taurc has the highest chance to drop an artifact out of the skeleton key chest. FYI good luck guardians [/spoiler] Edit: I was wrong about the drops at 387, I did receive 388 gauntlets today from nightfall, sorry guys.

Its going to award you based on your current level, so after you get that as high a physically possible, determine which side you want to roll the dice with on getting something of a similar level as your own. For example, if I have one weapon that's at 355 and two at 360, with 4 armors at 352 and one at 385 with my own level at 356, I would go with the armor because there's a higher chance of me landing beneficial gear than levels i already have

I level Eris 2 times, got 2 cloaks. 7 Skeleton Keys = 12 Cloaks, 1 Devil's Dawn, 1 Wad Of Metal Crap Warlock Helmet with a Microwave Door for a faceplate that has a Fork in it. Edit: I held off until I had a spare key (saving one) and I got a pretty blue 377 Artifact from Darkblade. First faction level afterwards got Ghost at 379.

5 RepliesI'm getting very annoyed with my armour packages. Constant cloaks and hardly anything else. A package I had 2 days ago was just 2 cloaks. I get the odd piece of armour the same or lower light than my equipped, and thats it. Anyone else having this class item spam package problem or CISPP for short?

If you have 3 i suggest you get armor packages as much as possible and make sure you have the 3 weapon slots at your current light level at all times. So basically , only get weapon packages when any of your guns fall beneath your light level. Move extra gear to alternate chars for infusion.

Always pick weapons when theres one of the faction youre interested in. You get other gear by playing the game pretty fast anyways. Up to 365 you can even level with blues off of strikes; after that raid, three of coins, trials, nightfalls... Theres no need to rush the lightlevel climb. Get good weapon rolls instead

Ghosts can be awrded from any package........you would be better adding guns and divide by 3 and just ignoring ghosts for your maths

Playing Crucible gives out weapons with higher light. I always take armor.
