Getting to the lighthouse is not that difficult and I'm an average PVP player at best. I've been 60x.
You just need to put in the time to get better and learn the dynamics of 3 v 3. It also helps to get familiar with a team so you learn each other's habits.
Lastly - you need a little luck with the matchups.
What I don't like (and I'm not saying this is you) is people who just 'expect' to make it or be carried without putting in the work. If you put in the work and time - you'll go flawless.

My buddy and I have attempted carries 4x and have gotten 3 of the 4 to the lighthouse. We're on Xbox One. We're always wiling to try and help people (for free - none of this follow my stream crap). I don't guarantee we can get you flawless - but we can try. Juiceboxster is my gamertag.

I have had a positive monthly KD for so long and I have been to the lighthouse 3 times, and I'm considered bad at the game and I'm not good enough to get into a serious flawless group.

Im pretty average and never went flawless. Never. Even tho I put in a lot of hours.

Ive tried countless times but always up against people with flawless emblems and adept weapons
