Me, i play all classes and as a male i play 3 males...as one who already played many Online-games never understood why so many male always playing female characters...at destiny, as what i've experienced would say that at least 80% of all female characters are played by male...so, honestly, what is it? what's the reason?
Would love to hear a few answers, as to me, can't get it lol
Update: i guess, considering some of the posts made here, it seems that it's a matter unpleasant for some to discuss lol^^
Update 2: this a serious question/matter: i agree that female characters sometimes look really cool...but am i the only one who likes it more, when said female character actually IS a female? to me, to know that there is a guy in female pants i meet in game is, honestly, just meh
Update 3: With "you like watching polygon but*s" being so far the top answer, we should bungie have implementing see-through-skirts for female char's, sold for silver at eververse hahaha^^ i guess it would sell like hell^^
ladies, don't get mad at me now, i'm just kidding^^

although wouldn't be surprised if activi/bungie would consider this, not little what they would do for money ,)
Edit: best comment so far^^

I played alot of D1 as a male titan but i feel as if D2 titans look jacked up on steroids and make them look like beetles while female titans actually look of a normal body type for titans. IMO

4 RepliesI had a male and a female warlock. Honestly, it almost feels like the female was a tad faster or and has a small hit box. I don't have my male one anymore but when I did, he just felt a bit sluggish conpared to the female. My buddy did the same with the titan. Less bulkyness.
-
My warlock is a female, I thought it fitting that it be female. Now that I'm used to playing a warlock I play mostly as it. Also all of the destiny ads had the warlock as a female. Exo male(?) Titan. Human male Hunter. Awoken female Warlock. Maybe I shouldn't have made an Exo since I'm not even a cyborg let alone a robot.

For fashion reasons I would assume. I prefer my huntard over my others, not because he has superior abilities but because the hunter armor is more pleasing to my eye and because it feels more like I can create my very own outfit. And some people just prefer the way most sets look on the female toons. I for example think most female warlocks look better than male ones.

3 RepliesIf there is beauty in destruction, why not also in its delivery?
-
2 RepliesPolygon a$$, lol!
-
Because males are ugly.
-
1 ReplyI'm comfortable enough with my sexuality (straight) to play as a female
-
2 RepliesWarlocks look better females imo.
-
2 RepliesI had males on the Beta and then went with three females in the full release. I just thought that in every case, they looked better as females. Male Warlocks look like they're in drag wearing dresses, Titans look like fat ladybugs, and Hunters, well they just look better as chicks anyway. Also, it was impossible to make a guy not look like he was abusing some substance of some kind.

1 ReplyPlaying video games is like throwing yourself into an alternate reality and seeing life from a different point of view. Since I am a male in real life, I play a female in an alternate life. It makes sense to me.
-
1 ReplyI have two male and one female characters. Titan and Hunter are male while my Warlock is female. I'm a Titan main btw. I went with a female Warlock because she's an awoken and I prefer the look of awoken females.
-
5 RepliesYou could ask the same question of women with male characters. I'm a woman, and all three of my characters are men. Having had all characters both male and female at different points, I absolutely prefer having male characters. Think as well that some women play with male characters to avoid being chased after by every prepubescent in the tower, which I can personally vouch for myself - though it still happens from time to time. I guess my GT is kind of a giveaway. Regardless, to each their own when it comes to destiny. Play whatever makes you happy.

2 Replies( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

1 ReplyMale hunters look like over stuffed sausages. My hunter is my only female, because the armor looks better for females.
-
3 RepliesI started with a male Hunter and a male warlock. Both humans. Then my buddy rolled a Titan and loved it so I started me one and decided it would be funny to see a girl pounding the shit out of everything. So I made my Titan one to be funny. Then it became my main because I wasn't going back and starting over just to change the gender. But I really wish I could because the female Titans looks stupid as eff in most armor.

5 RepliesEdited by Michelle: 10/2/2016 1:36:16 AMArmor looks better on females (Minus No Backup Plans) and I feel more comfortable playing as a female rather than male. The second one I can't really explain because I don't know myself. Just feels better to me.

1 ReplyMeh. Humans were boring I liked robots And the male awoken reminded me too much of that sparkly vampire stalker thing
-
3 Replies2014 called, they want their post back.

1 ReplyI came from a MMO where the female characters would look good in any gear - while the male ones just looked silly in half of it. So it was with that in mid I initially rolled female chars in this game too. Here's the thing though, males - or specifically Hunter males, since that's the only thing I play atm - wear everything better in this game. The female body types are simply too female here, with narrow shoulders and wide hips. It makes a bunch of the chest pieces on Hunter look bad.
-
1 ReplyY not?
-
I thought the hunter looks better as a girl, my warlock and Titan are males, there female versions look weird
-
1 ReplyThis again? Why does your mum give out handjobs down at the docks?
Just because.
-
2 RepliesMy Warlock and Titan are female because I don't like how the males look. If I'm going to play as this character for hundreds of hours, I don't want to think about how I dislike how they look every time I'm in the Tower or in the menu.

1 ReplyMore importantly, why are all the answers in the survey homophobic. Your question is legitimate, but your survey isn't. I made a female warlock because the male version looks like he cleaned out an all you can eat buffet.
