Why green and blue engrams replace Raid loot and exotics in postmaster.
Really, why?
Today I've lost Two raid fusion rifles to this.
They where in my postmaster, since I saw them on the app, and, after getting to the final boss and a sea of engrams later, I get back to the tower only to find that the "wonderfull 340 blue" that would decript from so many blues would be better than the two 368 fusion rifles "because yes".
Please, fix this shit, ok?

2 RepliesGreens never used to go to the postmaster at ALL, just blues and above. But some people are reporting greens going to postmaster now... considering how many drop, and that many guardians don't even bother picking them up, that can be a nasty surprise at the postmaster when better things have been pushed out. Bungie needs to at least fix that so greens don't go to the pm.... ... and it'd be real nice if the pm wasn't just a straight fifo, but had some prioritization rules so lower things couldn't push out higher items, by light level and/or color. ... a third improvement would be to increase the size of the postmaster/mailbox beyond 20 items. ... and it'd sure be nice if things like skeleton keys and other important non-engram things would go to the pm if we missed them. (But ONLY if the pm was larger and prioritized first) Yeah, we need to manage the pm, but the greens can overwhelm that.

1 ReplyThere's more green and blue crap falling all over the place than you can carry in your inventory and post master. I think it's a result of Bungie trying to improve drop rates and RNG. There are two remedies. 1- After every encounter return to a social area to decrypt all blue engrams and clear out your post master. 2- before moving on pick up all engrams. Dismantle the greens and discard the encrypted blues. I'd personally go with the latter solution. Going back and forth from tower to checkpoint to tower would drag it out.

Edited by Hecate: 10/2/2016 2:34:26 AMBecause a first-in/first-out queue was the easiest way for Bungle's developers to code it. They could do a lot to alleviate the problem if: 1. They doubled the size of the lost items section at the Postmaster. 2. Engrams stacked.

The simple solution would be: If you dismantle any green engram you get straight away (or after a section of the raid/after each strike) If you are holding blues, and you would rather have the purples and end game rewards in your actual inventory, and do not mind losing what, 50 rep points to the cryptarch, dismantle the blues too; as they are only going to give you up to 340 light gear. You can always buy armour and weapon parts from the gunsmith and shiro (just make sure you farm for glimmer (not hard) ) Not saying that is what you should do, but It's what i do when the need arises!

So sorry for your loss..........although we expect Bungie to do something but till they do try to have space in your inventory for such drops in the future. It may seem hard but it really isnt. Risking anything to go to the postmaster is really looking for trouble if there are engrams piling up then use the app to make space so you pick them up and dismantle. If you cant do that then shut off your console (this will make the engrams on the floor not to get sent to the postmaster) without going to orbit or better still turn off your internet connection or pull the wire. It is a drastic measure but it works.

Every time I kill a boss I ALWAYS pick up his loot. Even if I have to delete a legendary engram I'll do it (I actually move it through the app but still)

2 RepliesThis seriously needs to be fixed asap. You CANNOT do exotic pulse quest and leave at every checkpoint to recycle the trash so you dont lose drops. I took a screen shot of 12 green bonds in my postmaster after the raid the other day. Definitely lost something...
