I know we have no more expansions coming out for destiny but how come we didn't get an expansion entered around the cabal. Bungie could have written a proper story with the cabal invading earth and the guardians actually have to defend the walls of the city rather than just always pushing out against the enemies and invading their home bases.
The weapons and armour could have been expanded to be way more epic as well with cabal weaponry as an option. I'm not saying I want another expansion now but it's just a missed opportunity, that's all.
What do you guys think? Should we have a cabal expansion, if so what do you think should be added.
The cabal is probably my favourite enemy faction and I have a weird obsession with them.
*Edit*
Many of you guys have responded, saying that the Cabal will be focused upon heavily in destiny 2. I was kind of hoping that we might be getting some new enemy races to focus upon in destiny 2 but the Cabal as the main enemy could create an interesting story. The cabal invading our solar system with a massive armada could be really cool and if we finally get to meet the cabal emperor he could make for a great villain (A better villain than Oryx anyway).
However I was recently reading a fan theory on the cabal. The theory stated that the cabal have entered our solar system because the darkness took over their home planet and they are looking for new technology to defeat the darkness.
What if, instead of the cabal becoming the main enemy, we would have to make an alliance with them to defeat the darkness or a new sort of enemy. I think it could make for a far better story than what we originally got and could lead to some cool story missions as well.
Of course getting to headshot cabal is always fun.

One thing that i heard a streamer say that i think would be really cool, they have some epic closing event for destiny or a starting event in destiny 2 that results in the death of people's guardians. Then it goes to the start of a new character but the catch is that we have a quest or some sort of mission that investigates the death of our previous guardians and we can get their loot and perform a quest to modify the armor to be used by the new form of guardian. I personally think that this would be a great way to start over because i do feel like we need a fresh start character wise and to provide new lore without taking away the gear that they grinded hours/days for but still providing something new.

They are focusing on destiny 2 so u are going to have to wait till destiny 2 sadly

YES OR A VEX

-blam!- the cabal

I would love a cabal themed expansion, and have been clamoring for one since before they announced what expansions packs 1 and 2 even included. But alas, no dice. Also, just wanted to clarify that all the people saying that Destiny 2 will focus "heavily on/more on" the Cabal have zero basis for this information. Nowhere has anyone from Bungie said anything about the content of Destiny 2 in a public forum, so any assertion that it will feature more Cabal related stuff than vanilla Destiny is just pure speculation. I'm not saying it won't happen, just suggesting that you be skeptical of what people on these forums claim.

No, I hate those shield jerks.
-
Personally, I find the Cabal to be super boring. I feel like they take away from the immersion because they have such a basic storyline to them where as the Vex and Fallen have great lore behind them. (Don't even get me started on the Hive because I am SO sick of them) I would be perfectly okay if they just took them out all together
-
I just a want vex dlc, too much hive magic and too many fallen trash heaps .
-
It was the Taken King.
I'm kidding.
-
We already have a Cabal expansion. It's a streamer's waistline from eating all those Cheetos.
-
This will never happen. For a game to be good the developers have to actually try and not just chuck half a million dollars at a few sweatshop workers trained for twenty minutes.

Destiny 2: The Emperor's New Grind
-
Destiny 2 is said to be focusing on them.
-
Hell yes. They're the only ones without a raid
-
No but maybe yess when they nerf their shilds
-
>title no
-
Yes but with less tuba
-
Nah, they fat enough already X)
-
OMG, this would have been so much better than the taken.
-
I've wanted a Cabal expansion since the start. Dark below is Hive, House of Wolves is Fallen, Taken King is Hive/Taken and Rise of Iron is Fallen/SIVA and the original campaign is centred around the Vex. Plus, there is so much we don't know about the Cabal and their Empire which would be great for a DLC; The Cabal Emperor has arrived to take back the solar system and you must kill him.
-
Actually I do want that dlc, am I weird for that?! I think they deserve it.
-
Hopefully Destiny 2 touches more on Cabal, Fallen and Vex. The hive are annoying as shit. It's dumb that one mission in ttk is say that they sent a distress call or something to the head of the Cabal empire....NEW APRIL UPDATE MORE TAKEN AND HIVE STUFF. I'm enjoying the new raid a lot and reading up on Fallen lore. Now the Cabal need some time too shine.
-
The raid would have been epic. Instead of tomb ships/jumping puzzles/etc, you could be bounced around with their shield bash attack and the minor ability to steer
-
Osiris, Mercury, Cabal; O My; what fun shall be had! Looking forward to exploring the glass fields

Honestly I have the worst luck with cabal strikes in my heroic playlists I'm just kinda tired of em I barely even visit mars
