When I say "bad endings" I mean an ending that just didn't do the franchise Justice, an ending that was cliche or an ending that just simply Sucked.
First Runner up: Gears of War 3.
Marcus Fenix fights a war that he assumed took the life of his dad, the first game they used light mass missiles with coordinates locked onto the enemies turf.
The second game, the one with the most creative ending, the humans of Jacinto flood their last city to try and stop the locust.
The third one -oh my god- Marcus finds out his dad is actually alive (cliche) then his dad informs him that he has a machine that could end the war once and for all, they fight their way to the machine, then they warm it up while a wave of enemies continuously arrive to try and stop them, they fight Myrrah and her tempest, they kill the tempest and press the button on the machine and they win the war, all thanks to Adam Fenix, the one insignificant thing you'd never expect to have any part in the end. (Cliche)

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Here, lets build up The Tower of Sauron, one of the only characters in the game worth giving a shit about, give him an awesome pre-fight cutscene, then have the players kill him off in a stealth boss fight that ends in less than a minute. And after that, make the final boss a short quick time event, and have the game end on a cliffhanger. (Dis)honorable mentions: Mass Effect 3, The Darkness 2 (rip this franchise, sadly), Darksiders, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

I feel like Mass Effect 3 would be mentioned in this list
Though I don't necessarily agree with the complaints people have had about the ending.
I personally disliked the ending for Tomb Raider. After going all over the island for a while, it really felt empty and lacking.

Borderlands: kill a hentai monster DOOM (2016): get locked in a tube by optimus prime on budget cuts Burnout Paradise: you've done everything and are now elite. Congrats nerd Halo Reach: you already knew you were gonna die. Still a badass ending though. Halo CE: takes off helmet as camera pans away. Halo 2: "Chief what are you doing?". "Sir, finishing the fight". Fight proceeds for multiple days (months?) in sequel. Halo 3: "Wake me when you need me". This bitch hit me with a 3rd cliff hanger. Halo 4: Chief is sad because his waifu left him, cliff hanger of his face Halo 5: Apparently it's like Halo 2, never finished it though as it's boring to playthrough.

Edited by Garzon: 10/1/2016 4:00:33 PMSyndicate. You kill literally every character in the game except for the one bitch who I hated from the beginning, and she just walks down the hall away from the player, who pulls out his gun and loads it, and then the game ends. All I wanted was to shoot her... Honorable mention to Bioshock Infinite for leaning so heavily on the lamest storytelling crutch ever: time travel.

I thought the ending was alright,
stabbing that Queen bitch was amazing
-
I don't think the gears ending was unjustified, as there was much mystery surrounding Marcus' father in both 1 and 2. After all, he was captured by the Queen in order to eliminate the lambent with said machine. Which is why the locust emerged to the surface, because they needed to gain ground to establish more time for Adam to make his machine.

Detective Barbie. The mystery cruise

Cole not being revived by the lightning in Infamous 2 was disappointing. One and Two were great, Second Son sucked.

Edited by Fate: 9/30/2016 2:57:49 AMEvery call of duty campaign. Except ghosts that one was interesting
-
Far Cry 3 by far, amazing game but the way you end up finishing off the bad guys was such a letdown.
-
Farcry 4
-
Fallout 4, bad ending for a bad rpg. It's a good game, but not a good Fallout game.
-
Borderlands (the first one).
-
Psi-Ops... Damn game literally ended with "To be continued" The sequel never released... Its been 10 years
-
Fallout 4 was pretty shitty in the end. But usually the games that keep me around till the end have really good stories that don't disappoint. Otherwise it bores me and I quit playing.
-
Cod zombies (Only the zombies because everything else is bad)
-
Halo 3 had a bad ending but the story itself was pretty bad altogether
Waiting for the hate messages
-
Mass effect 3, fallout 3 before broken steel, fallout NV because there was no end game dlc, farcry 3 because the final boss was stupid, halo 2 because dat cliffhanger tho, starwars the force unleashed 2, and lots of games really. Endings are hard.
-
Halo 5. Really wish it didn't pull a Halo 2 on me
-
Dragon age inquisition

Oh I agree with Gears. Oh look we have a machine that will kill all lambent, oh how convenient it'll kill all the locust too! As for other games, halo 2's ending was lacking haha.
-
Life is Strange had a pretty dumb ending, that was also super obvious the entire time.
I think everything from the "time falling apart" segment on.
And not a game, but Vampire Knight also ended terribly. -.-
-
KoTOR 2. Don't get me wrong loved the game it's in my all time top 5, but the ending was bad like they didn't know how to end it.
-
Borderlands. Fallout 3 before Broken Steel. I would say ME3 but that was a shit game completely so the ending kinda fit.
