Well you do need to take a better look at your internet. As for the other thing you said about servers it's a simple answer. WHAT SERVERS??????? Destiny runs on a p2p host system with servers only used for matchmaking (when in orbit) and to save character data. So you can not stay connected to another player that means your internet even more so if the host's internet is less than optimal.

The red message bar says "contacting destiny servers". It's pretty self-explanatory. It's not a P2P issue bc I'm in a PvE environment on patrol, not PvP or strikes or the like. In either case, when every other network connected device is working on my network and has zero connectivity issues, then the problem very obviously lies with the one service that is always problematic - Bungie.

  • Try a hard re-set of your system.

  • That already happened when the entire network was upgraded with new equipment about two hours ago. Again, everything else is connected and working uninterrupted flawlessly, except Destiny. Even other games on my PS4 have no issues. I don't know how more plainly I can say the problem is with Bungie. I'm not ruining my network for an entire household of computers, electronics, and every other game I own so Bungie can avoid their problems.

  • Other games don't need as stable as a connection like Destiny does. Can you run a network diagnostic test WHILE Destiny is running?!

  • I can try. But that's pretty indicative of what's wrong - that Bungie does not use a consumer standard of network connection (always saying we have to change our settings that always work for every other game without issue), unreasonable stability requirements, even blatantly blaming the consumer without even checking their own systems. If games like CoD, Star Wars, any game by Blizzard (many of which handle more players than Destiny does), if they can all manage to pull off multiplayer and singleplayer without these chronic issues, then there is no reason Bungie can't either except pure incompetence.
