It's an add I found that has TONS of facts to support the arguement. Bout time someone seriously put down Black Lives Matter, with loads of facts and info. Fight the good fight!
I see many are saying Prager is biased, which it probably is. But that doesn't obscure facts. It does obscure opinions though. But not facts.
Ok well this video and thread does a brilliant job of showing how easy it is to confuse people/get people to take speculation as the truth. First and foremost, studies honestly don't mean anything especially when stripped of their context. If you've ever had any higher education or worked in academia you'd know that pretty much for every study showing one thing, there are a handful showing another, especially in social psychology (kind of experiment that was first mentioned, if they haven't been done yet, then there eventually will be follow studies that contradict). If you've ever written an argumentative research paper you'd also know how easily it is to pull some data and conclusions out of the context they were studied in and change the meaning almost completely to prove your point. A great place to look for evidence of both of these things is to read a psychiatric journal and just look at all the conflicting evidence you see. Then I'll bring up an argument I've mentioned many a times here: Honestly, it doesn't matter really at all if the supposed 'problem' is so statistically small it's almost negligible. For example look at the flip side. It's statistically quite rare for a police officer to die to a gunshot but for some reason the majority of people think that is a justified fear for an officer to have. A broader example of that doesn't do it for is the amount of fear and prevention the US has put into terrorism while statistically more people die from lighting. So instead of air port security would you feel better with light in rods placed all over the country? Really I'm something the draws out so much emotion in society, the statistics behind the emotion are negligible as the reality is that small statistic still gather that much emotion. I will also mention that the 'epidemic' of murderous or racist cops is a localized issue. It varies greatly from community to community and precinct to precinct. It's completely asinine to riot at your neighborhood police for a shooting in Atl. It's also equally stupid to invalidate protests of bad police forces when you have no personal experience with them. Each new case should be handled by the town and if you want to give your opinion do so tentatively knowing you don't have all of the information. Next, I find this argument that blacks kill more blacks and hurt themselves more so they should focus on themselves instead of the crooked cops rather silly. Honestly think about it. Citizens kill way more innocent citizens than cops do. Like no shit! That's why cops exist in the first place. A cop killing an innocent person or using excessive force is a problem! I think we all can agree. Then I find this fact finding where people point out the large crime imbalance between blacks and whites often rather offensive. Mind you it is a great point to bring up and it is a huge problem (much bigger than the common focus) however it is brought up only as a counter argument to shut BLM up. Similar to the "all lives matter" retort. I agree with these things 100% but very few actually mean what they say or offer any action or solution. It's simply a counter to BLM when in fact they are all separate matters that should be tended to as such. If you are for 'all lives matter' you should be protesting every death of every innocent, including innocent blacks killed by cops, whites killed by cops, and cops who are victims themselves. If you're going to say it believe it and follow through don't use it as something to silence a group you don't think should be heard. Lastly, I actually like parts of the video because it does show some statistics in a way that makes police brutality and shootings seem like the major issue they are without race as a variable- suggesting we should come together and reform police for the betterment of the country as a whole.

Speaking of logic, of which I have seen the term thrown around in previous comments, skin color, gender, sexuality, etc. all reduce to meaninglessness in terms of understanding subjectivity [or personal identity for those who are less familiar to the term]. You see, at least as far as our material physical existence here in this world is concerned, we all die inevitably. Thus, I pose my question to mankind; What's the use? Why do any of these things, as well as EVERYTHING else in existence matter, including being happy, helping, etc.? I ask this not to suggest that we should fall to utter nihilism, which by the way whether one realizes it or not the world is presently consumed in, but that we should recognize that these differences among many various social justice groups, politics, and the like are all literally meaningless. If you are going to fight for something based on some superficial aspect of your appearance or possession you own or job occupation you hold because you think it genuinely represents who you truly are [your true self], then it is a futile effort and a lie to yourself. We are literally more than what can even be comprehended strictly in terms of subjectivity. This is, in a way, an innate protection for each and every person because it is impossible to fully describe who someone is, for we, as subjects, are always changing. We are an everchanging flux of consciousness. We are a constant state of becoming, and thus no static and definite attribute can ever be genuinly applied to us with any certainty, let alone justification, except that we are this living contradiction. So please friends, think about this question, look at the world, and tell me what is truly meaningfull and can legitimately justify our very existence and everything else? [For me, it would be Love in a very rich and in-depth sense which I wont go into here for lots of reasons]. Think about it friends, and best to you all!

>PragerU I swear, you people don't know what propaganda is until it doesn't support your world view. Anyone who has a relatively adequate comprehension of statistics will understand how -blam!-ing stupid this video is. Anyone else need not apply.

Edited by BlaqSpiral: 9/28/2016 5:23:04 PMBLM and the people who support them, in no way, care about statistics, probabilities, science nor facts. Meaning: it doesn't matter what is put in front of them (BLM) they will simply dismiss it as some propaganda from a racist and oppressive institutional system. #Truth

Edited by Providentius: 9/28/2016 7:12:59 PMbump bump I like some of Prager U's stuff...but lets be honest, if you like what they have your probably a classical liberal at heart, free-market capitalist loving, individual-rights-with-responsibilities centered CONSERVATIVE. To each's own with their political interpretation...but Prager has an obvious bias. EDIT: its nice to see that the destiny community has a well mannered conservative populace
