It's not a glich or any problem at all. The RNG is deliberately set up for that. It's been in this game since it was released. He got exactly what he was supposed to get and that was nothing.
This is a common thing everyone should know by now that has put any time into this game. This is set up to happen in every single raid and it will continue to happen throughout this game's life span.

Im pretty sure the keys are meant to be a definite reward though, like moldering shards did. If it was just the boss kill that gave him nothing then we would understand.

Even Mouldering shards when granting you the extra reward drop could take your 20 shards, and then give you just 2 Mouldering shards as a reward because technically that counts as a second drop.

They're not like mouldering shards, which just increased your (chances) of loot. The keys have clearly been explained to work to guarantee loot within various activities

That was my understanding too, and i must have been lucky then cause every time i had enough mouldering shards i seemed to get something. Hopefully Bungie get word of this.

Gamers were complaining after all that time spent getting nothing. It's implanted in this game to do that. Now, it doesn't mean Bungie can't change that It's just knowing they want gamers to spend more time running repetitive things and wondering if they will give in or not. Hell, it took 7 months to give in after seeing how gamers were pissed off about grinding for flakes. So in all it's a matter on will Bungie do something about and when.

Not trying to be rude, but this conversation isnt answering my question. The keys are meant to guarantee a reward and it didnt, i just want to spread the word so other snd possibly bungie see it.
