Trump supporters are in denial

Trump started off okay then fell apart. He deflected and rambled so much it was quite pathetic. Not to mention the amount of falsehoods he spewed. Sure, Hillary may have had some as well but not to the extent of Trump. Also, his cocaine nose was annoying. Anyone who thinks Trump "won" didn't watch the same debate I did. He got too defensive and couldn't help interrupting Clinton and Lester. He could barely answer a question. Maybe he'll actually prepare for the next debate.

    • I silently support trump (not very silent now), but Hillary won the debate, doesn't mean I like her

If I had to, I'd vote for Hillary. I don't want a president who doesn't prepare for situations like this.

    • From what I read, Hillary was prepared; and took Trump to school. Of course, he creates his own reality in which he won. By interrupting Hillary and Lester, he's only showing his own insecurity. I don't care about his sniffles, folks are making a mountain out of a mole hill. And Trump says Hillary's attack ads are "not nice"? Is he seriously crying like a little bitch after calling his rivals crooked, crazy, and lying...he even tried to connect Ted Cruz's father the JFK assassination; but I'm sure that was all in good taste. I'd call him a thin skinned pussy, but a pussy knows how to take a pounding.
Sorry for the lack of coherence, I was typing the thoughts that spilled out of my head.
• This was Hillary the whole debate: Smile, talk about trump as a person and not a leader. That's pretty much all she did. Trump actually made a few good points, Hillary just stood there smiling to not show weakness while trump was making good arguments. That's the only reason why people think she won. It's like people weren't listening to the actually debate.

        • I loved Trump's response about rental discrimination: the case settled and he "never admitted guilt." Oh, well in that case everything is cool.

          • I do feel he got a little flustered here and there. However she's been through this before. Ill still never vote for her crooked self. How could I vote do someone who robbed hati white her lousy Clinton foundation , who represented a child molester, who covered for her disgusting pervert husband who decided to sell our country short with nafta. But yeah I hate trump also so I'm screwed this time around.

          • I feel like he had prepared answers, but gave them even if they made no sense in the situation. I would agree that he actually was pretty good at the start. He was calm and on the attacck. However, he definitely unraveled and got flustered. This caused him to deny statements that were plainly true. Also, winning is not a temperament. He gave Clinton a chance to come across as calm, which she took rather well.

              • Tbh I turned it off right after Hilry did the whole "it sounds like your blaming myself for preparing which I did, and I also prepared to become president." Idk why but I just thought the debate was nothing more than them hissing at each other. What a -blam!-ing waste of everyone's time.

                • In my unbiased opinion (since I'm registered independent), I believe Clinton won the debate. If Trump can get so flustered so easily when dealing with an opponent and a moderator, I can only cringe to think what would happen when he is sitting across from world leaders. He was quoted saying " I have a much better temperament than Clinton." The way he handled himself last night suggests only the contrary. He struggled to compose himself as the night went on, which was apparent to anyone who watched the entire debate. I would also like to point out his quick comments while Clinton was talking about paying taxes. He said it "makes him smart" to deprive the government of millions in income taxes, because, in his own opinion, "it would be squandered, too, believe me." This is not his decision to make. His job as a businessmen is to pay federal taxes in the country or countries where his businesses reside. Not only was he bragging about his failure to not disclose his tax returns, he basically admitted tax evasion. End rant.

It was a bad night for Trump. There were certain things Trump had to do in that debate (mostly being not Trump, which defeats the purpose of Trump, and why I think he's the definition of a bad candidate) and he failed spectacularly. Where does he go from the next two debates? He could back out and deliver a death blow to his campaign which has paper thin foundation and always had. He could be "boring" in which case no one will talk about the next two debates and they'll continue to talk about this one. Or he can up the Trump and hurt himself more. This is the fundamental problem with Trump. I've said it for a long time but Trump lost this election many months ago. Arguably even over a year ago. A presidential campaign is something that takes four years to build and execute. Trump didn't begin construction until maybe Year 3. From the get go the foundation of that building was barely holding together. Hillary Clinton is a crappy candidate and the greatest weakness of the Clinton campaign. If this was Obama running for re-election we'd be looking at an EC results that's 400 something for Obama because Obama is himself one of the Obama campaign's greatest assets. But because Clinton meticulously built her presidential bid she can withstand her own shortcomings. Especially against what might be the most poorly put together presidential campaign in American history.

                  •
Trump supporters are in denial
We're staring down the barrel of a $20 trillion bill and a $1/2 trillion deficit. Instead of facing it and admitting that public debt is immoral, we bicker over -ism's, marijuana, and "national security," which is more often than not just a police state in disguise. So, yes. Denial all around.

                        • Threads like these are funny. You have left supporters bashing on different beliefs, while right supporters are bashing on different beliefs. I'm not saying it's every supporter, but it is annoying when people hate other people for not having the same view as them. It's called immaturity; sadly, most Americans have that.
