What subclass is Zavala?
Sorry if it says it in the grimoire, I dunno. Just based on his personality, what suits him?

6 RepliesI like to think he's a Defender because I love the thought of him standing down a dozen fallen walkers and, just as all twelve fire he forms his shield, and then his fireteam call in the thunder. When the dust clears and all that remains of the walkers is nothing but scrap and ash, the dark purple dome of the Defender falls, and Zavala walks over to the only fallen left standing and breaks its skull with his face.

Lore wise all hunters warlocks and Titans have access to all elements at all times and can switch between their abilities instantaneously (similar to how we can in game but with little effect on their actions) Zavala is just a Titan. It's safe to say following the lore us resurrected guardians and the sun breakers we met in game are the only sunbreakers it all other Titans have access to striker and defender while some choose to focus on specific subclasses or all just like we can in game. With that being said Zavala most likely predominantly uses defender abilities but uses striker abilities whenever he seem them necessary

3 RepliesI believe it's heavily implied that the vanguard are all the level 15 subclasses, TTK had a mission where Cayde basically implied that [i]he[/i] invented hunter cloaking, which is Bladedancer, and Ikora favored a Solar element shotgun in her youth, not much to go on, but it is something

Well he's not a Sunbreaker because before we became one there was just a group of them who hated him and the Vanguard.
