Some food for thought.
Not mine, but still a gem. Here it is.
Things I learned from studying Destiny lore:
-The basic uses and benefits of quantum computer processing
-The basic uses and benefits of quantum mechanics
-Different types of paradoxes and how to identify them
-How acasual and paracasual powers can be super-ordinate to material physics
-Theories and differences between Sword logic and Killing logic
-Certain studies in ontology
Things I learned from over a decade of science classes:
-The water cycle
-The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell

23 RepliesI could explain how the Vex function as a whole better than I can explain how my computer works. I know Eliksni physiology better than my own. I can understand and interpret Hive philosophy better than most modern philosophies. I could tell you why Oryx failed during his invasion in detail, but I can only skim over why Napoleon failed in his. I know the Eliksni language better than one that I took for three years. I could write an essay on the condition of Old Russia during the Iron Banner-Warlord conflict in an hour but I'd need at least two days to do one on Russia during the Cold War. And the Iron Lord Grimoire just came out. The Speaker and Osiris' opposing view points have made me ponder the notion of whether security is worth giving up freedom and the truth more than any political debate in the past five years. Destiny as a whole has challenged my perception of good and evil more than any piece of literature I've been assigned to read in an english class.
