Raid's been out LESS than 24 hrs. people are already asking that "you know how to do it". These people are ridiculous and have lead the majority of the community into a hole.
Rather sad.
-
You wanna hear something worst? A few hours after it went live, people was asking that you have the emblem to show you completed it.... lol. Looks like nobody would like to show what to do,.... they want you to already know.
-
So what. They are assembling their fireteam, they can ask for whatever they want.
-
Must have emblem <~ this one f*ckin pisses me off all the time.
-
Some people don't have 6 hours to do the raid sorry not trying to be a d*** but I can't spend a quarter of the day doing one raid and possibly or not possibly beating it
-
Actually it's understandable. The hardcore community figured out the raid pretty quickly and want to get all 3 done without dealing with inexperienced and annoying people. I mean hell my group did it without help and we suck so…
-
make friends and quit using lfg

Lol beta player here. I stopped playing for roughly 8-9 months. After my clan and group stopped after beating tTK hardmode raid. I came back cause RoI got me interested to play again. But unfortunately my group has moved on. I find the newer gen of Destiny players kindda weak. I made my own post and stated i was 353 light. A group found me and invited. They were hesitant that I would need to be carried. Wrong I came in blind to the raid and managed to carry myself and a couple of their higher level players through to the boss. One more thing to add. What happened to players who thought outside the box and loved to discover different ways of doing things? Its so basic now with these newer gen players, where there seems to be a list for them to follow or else youre screwed and unable to beat something.

Watch a YouTube video
-
What's even better is when you get in there and the person that posted those ridiculous requirements, has NO IDEA what he's doing or is just terrible and constantly dies. GG.
-
So because I beat the raid an know what I'm doing I should be forced to teach you how to do it? No that's sad. If I make a fireteam it's my requirements not yours. You want a raid team without requirements then make your own post an make your own team
-
I know what you mean, I got excluded from the raid by my own friends because I was 20 under the recommended light level and they wanted to try and be the world's first, when did a status become more important than having fun with the people you've been playing with for years
-
I used to post funny requirements, like must have full upgraded dalek, must have fully upgraded light saber must not bring Preston.
-
Maybe they have specific times they Sherpa people. For me, I'll explain it to anyone who is an appropriate light level. 355+ for the raid until the final boss. At which time, if you haven't hit 365, I'm out.
-
I posted 370+ light on my lfg because everyone below 370 kept dying in 3 different raid groups on the final boss for 6 hours collectively. If randos don't have the skill gap you have to close that skill gap by light or a specified dps weapon.
-
They are ridiculous. ..and they are usually people either looking to be carried....or are really selfish. I got a big laugh out of the guy who----the last week before RoI dropped----was demanding a raid team for a fresh run. Who had to be comfortable with the Challenge mode fights. In fact he insisted that if you didn't show "Hear the Call" (the reward for completing all Year 2 MoT challenges) that he was going to kick you from his team. I laughed thinking, "Why don't you just tattoo "Please carry me though the Challenge fights so I can get the Calcified Fragments" to your forehead. It'll be easier and more honest."
-
This is why I only go to #destiny once every couple of months. I stay in #offtopic most of the time. It's still cancer but it's a different kind of cancer
-
Watch a YouTube video on it
-
Asked no if they know what to do is smart. Giving them cap for nor knowing is crap.
-
I ask if people know what to do that way i can explain if they dont
-
Most of us can't afford to spend 6+ hours trying to figure out the mechanics. Just find people who want to take their time to learn instead of powering through it. Personally I like to have patience and enjoy it.

Edited by Shipman: 9/26/2016 2:37:00 AMSIGH EITHER FORM YOUR OWN GROUP WITH YOUR OWN STANDARDS OR DON'T PLAY. COMPLAINING ABOUT OTHERS REQUIREMENTS FOR A RAID ENVIRONMENT IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. WE WANT TO GET THE RAID COMPLETED, NOT TEACH EVERY SINGLE DESTINY PLAYER HOW. USE YOUTUBE AND LEARN THE MECHANICS OR GATHER A GROUP OF PRO-BLIND PLAYERS LIKE A LOT OF US DID. PLEASE & THANK YOU.
-
Seriously, the mechanics are not that complex. It just involves alot of dodge ball. Unlike Kings Fall, you can actually watch a video and know how to do it. On friday we got all the way to tue final boss (we best the servitors). We stopped because we were all squishy 365-370 at that point. Being 370 to start is actually the only requirement if you want to beat the raid. You can get up to the final boss round if you are all 36x light with no problem.
-
How is it sad? Any one could load up YouTube and learn the strategy that way. Where's the shame in wanting players who can both understand a raid mechanic and do research ahead of time.
-
I don't agree with the have experience requirements, but if you are trying to explain the mechanics for an hour , and they still don't get it. Then yes they have to go. It is frustrating so you understand that point of view as well. I don't mind trying to teach, but some people don't have all day. Not trying to be a A hole

Edited by Nightfox77: 9/26/2016 7:47:31 PMI'm 366 light and I haven't been killed yet on my phase 2 attempts. The problem I found was the lfg groups I joined couldn't communicate. We managed to get him to a sliver and he enraged and people panic wiped. I just want a good raid group so I can get some sleep.
-
I remember a time when you ran around the tower messaging any random you seen at level 28 or better trying to build a team. And lots of others did the same thing, I still play with some of those people. LFG has made this game very snobby.
