Ironically, they sided with Sony - who are also guilty of doing this in the past!

No. Capcom literally asks for kernel access (which no other company has done) so it can install a rootkit which incidentally let's malware into your system. This rootkit is shoddy and not well made and there were tons of options to prevent this, but capcom took the easiest route. If you can't start SFV then your PC is probably preventing that shit. No other company has ever attempted something as stupid as this.

Why the actual fuck would they want kernel access? Anything that requires a rootkit can't be legal...

Capcom got pissed at people getting into their code to rip out costumes and models out so they decided to use the cheapest, easiest and shoddiest way to do it.

They put their bad games with Sony. They put good games like monster hunter Nintendo consoles. Ohh pretty lame shots fired.
-
Nintendo always has quality games. Just a shame they stay on Nintendo.
-
I would kill for monster hunter on ps4 and Xbox one.
-
I wonder if I can get it emulated on my pc...
-
With the right amount of searching and googling yes.

Well if you own a copy it's technically not piracy.
