So, most of my clan tends to think that Bungie favors the Titans; through buffs, not getting nerfed enough, abilities, gear and the like. While some think that Titans are OP, others think that Warlocks are as such. I tend to think that all classes have their advantages and disadvantages, but, obviously, my clan doesn't think so. I really dislike it when this topic comes up because I play as a Titan. I know it probably won't happen, because it would be bad press or something of that sort, but I'd like to get a definitive answer on this from Bungie. I'm sure, like I said, that they are trying to make the classes balanced as possible; but I would still like an answer on this over-blown topic.
Note: This was written and submitted when my clan was just a small group of my close friends; before I joined my current clan.

4 RepliesBungie has always had a favorite child and that's Warlocks. They've always been tailored more towards weaker players that don't have the gun skills but want to rely more on class skills. However, Titans have had a pretty large amount of buffs and items boosting them since the Sunbreaker balance. I think it's pretty easy to agree that Hunters had a bit of an advantage at launch with Arcblade but since then have been dumped on by Bungie ever since.
-
Well we know for a fact bungie hates fusion rifles and blade dancers
-
16 RepliesBungie likely prefers hunters... As a warlock, we get screwed over the most ( we get nerfed a lot and have the worst exotics ) Tians also seem to be constantly nerfed
-
After Bungie murdered the sunsinger, I definitely don't think they favor the warlocks.
-
Forgot the #satire. Then again you are entitled to have an opinion! I have one of each and see each great in their own way. Eventhough i have a sweetspot for my hunter, which is becoming harder to hold recently.
-
There's a nerf/buff list somewhere from long ago. From that I think it was either the Titans who had the least nerfs and plentiful buffs.

1 ReplyBungie loves hunters
-
If nothing else, we know for sure that bungie hates hunters.

Now this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it seems like Warlocks are the favored class. They just have so many intrinsic advantages over other classes like the longest base melee range, a melee that essentially does what Defender's melees do but better, 2 non-sticky grenades capable of one-shotting someone from full health, and supers that are just useful in most every situation. People complain about the Viking Funeral nerf and the nerf to Firebolts, but let's be honest, they're still pretty top-tier. The ability to throw out a grenade that can take out half of an enemies health and deny regen for a bit after has a good amount of utility to it, it's just that you can't throw it out and be able to kill the person with one shot from your primary anymore. All in all, could now be considered balanced since countering them is roughly the same difficulty level as playing them effectively. On to Voidwalker, there's not really anything truly wrong with this subclass. No, really. Nothing at all. Stormcaller is where I get salty as shit. The super just feels endless! I've had someone on the enemy team get 2 Seventh Columns in one game of Supremacy because they just got to wipe out our team with one super, waited a bit until they got it again, and repeated. (It helps that we'd spawn right the -blam!- in front of the guy). Literally everything else is fine with the subclass, the melee is long range, but that's it's whole thing. It has no real bonuses to it. It's just that damn Transcendence perk that causes it to be an absolute monster where countering it is a hell of a lot harder than the person using it walking forward while holding RT/R2... Rant over.

2 RepliesTitans Defender- Super: pretty meh Grenades: magnetic grenades are pretty strong, suppressors can shut down supers every 30 seconds Melees: get a strong overshield every kill Neutral game- shield from melee allows them to survive a 1kys headshot :( Striker- Super- one of the best for pvp, ability to 1hk anythink in crucible Grenades- lightning grenades have a crazy radius and deal a lot of damage Melee- deals a ton of damage Neutral game- juggernaut is crazy with a shotgun, shoulder charge is annoying but not OP Sunbreaker- Super- high dmg resistance, has even more op shoulder charge, can spawn with an overshield Grenades- fusions are annoying, give a guaranteed kill Melee- can 1hk min armor guardians(I think). Neutral game- Sunspots can be annoying but not gamebreaking, has the ability to regen health from any ability kill Warlocks Voidwalker Super- instant shutdown of anything in pvp from just about any distance Grenades- axion are annoying, scatters deal crazy damage Melee- instant health regen from crazy range Neutral game- all ability kills(or just slapping someone) grant health regen, blink Stormcaller Super- ridiculous duration, ionic blink is annoying(if you want a 7th column then use this) Grenades- arc bolts are ok, storm grenades are ok, can chain damage Melee- ridiculous range, like wtf Bungie Neutral game- best shotty melee class Sunsinger Super- high dmg resistance, 1hk melee that gives a overshield, self rez Grenades- fusions are annoying, firebolts are still competitive Melee- shield from high ranges, also can cause burning that can 1hk low armor guardians(I think) Neutral game- firebolts+flame shield are really strong Hunters Nightstalker Super- instant super shutdown, high range Grenades- all grenades by themselves are pretty weak Melee- smoke is pretty strong Neutral game- wombo combo YEAH BOIZ, shadestep is good but got nerfed Bladedancer Super- easy to shutdown with a shotty melee, otherwise pretty strong Grenades- all pretty weak, flux got nerfed, skips are ok Melee- backstab is ok, range got nerfed though Neutral game- good for shotty melee, blink, otherwise pretty meh Gunslinger Super- probably strongest super for hunters Grenades- tripmines are ok but got nerfed for LITERALLY NO REASON, incendiaries are ok Melee- throwing knives are ok but got nerfed for LITERALLY NO REASON(they took skill and were high risk high reward) Neutral game- pretty meh :( You decide

1 ReplyI believe Warlocks are favored by Bungie more than Titans & Hunters combined.
-
All I'm gonna say is that Bladedancers should get an Orb of Light buff. Then I wouldn't only use it in Arc Burn activities or the Arc bounty.
-
1 ReplyUp-voted because, while technically not incorrect, your unnecessary commas make me read the title in William Shatner's voice.
-
3 RepliesI don't know about favored classes, but someone at Bungie clearly thinks bladedancers don't belong in PvE.
-
5 RepliesYour clan is full of damp sanitary napkins
-
Hunters are favored by bungie thats why they have all attack sub-classes
-
2 RepliesDestiny caters to hunters.

Titans are more noble and knightly than hunters or warlocks. They fight for purpose. Hunters fight for themselves. Warlocks fight to understand things. Titans are solely defenders of the Last City. They're pragmatically heroic. If the Traveler is a little biased, then it makes some sense. Though in a video game setting, that isn't really valid, now is it?
-
4 RepliesThe titan hasn't had as many nerfs because the titan hasn't been OP nearly as long as the other two. But the second hammers came in, titans got nerfed to the ground. Boots made shoulder charge even better, nerf shoulder charge. Your clan is just salty to be salty. Unless they are amazing players that just happen to be asshats, I'd find a new group. But that's me.

Warlocks have always been a favorite of theirs.

47 RepliesEdited by CommanderC2121: 9/24/2016 10:57:23 PMWarlocks are bungies glory child. Best subclasses, best perks, and have damn good exotics. Best melee range, best melee perks, that are able to do things with a simple hit that other class require a kill to do (regen health, gain shield, gain grenade charge, speed boost, etc) nova bomb can out damage and out range FoH, stormcallers have a mini FoH, followed by the longest roaming super in the game, and while sunsinger isnt as good, its by no means a bad choice, with its insta melee shield, up to 55% damage reduction and grenade spam. And, they can out armor the titan, the fricken armor class. They have the best stat set up, with extremely high recovery and decent armor (tying into the ram lock thing again) In Y1, bungie was on the war path against titans. Before sunbreaker, hell, even after, stats show titans are doing very poorly in crucible. While they, imo, have the best exotic in the game (ruin wings) and some good ones like saint 14 and arma, everything else is very meh. In Y2, Sunbreaker still has no neutral game to speak of, and its super is ok, but not good. Striker is decent (i still think FoH needs more pve damage. Its out-damaged by nova bomb) and has a good neutral game, which has been unchanged from beta (only class to hold this honor) Defender needs help. Its currently at a .9 average kd, which according to bungie is underperforming heavily if they want all classes at a 1.0. Its super is piss poor in crucible, more of a beacon then a safe haven, and 3 perks that do nothing but make orbs Y2, its hunters bungie wants to cripple. The unneeded gunslinger nerfs are proof enough, and the blink nerf has caused the bladedancer class much more pain then voidwalkers. Arcblade as a super is fine, and still a force, and of course, quickdraw is a thing, but the grenades suck, with both arcbolt and flux having uneeded nerfs, so much so that a ram lock or max armor striker can survive it. Blink strike was also nerfed for the reason. The only non warlock melee that could reach 6 meters was nerfed, while the stormcaller can have a melee of 9 meters. Wtf!??? Golden gun is arguably the best super, but with the throwing knife and tripmine nerfs, the classes overall power is diminshed. Nightstalker is fine though. The super is good, it has an amazing neutral game, being the only class able to see people through walls, and the wombo combo being a powerful attack, not to mention shadestep, but has the problem all hunters have. Agility is a useless stat, and hunters are forced to either have high armor, no recovery, or high recovery, no armor. Neither is a good thing. Just my $.02 Edit: forgot about the class exclusives, like how tlaloc is godly, ace of spades is decent, and fabian still sucks ass
-
Your clan isn't to bright if it thinks that Titans are bungie's fave. Remember when they broke sunbreaker? Heck they recently broke striker. Check the pvp kd averages. The Titan has by far the lowest!! We get screwed daily. Ask yourself, how many of your clan members are using stormcaller? They have no place to talk being that they can still wipe teams twice with that absurd super.

Please tell me this is joke.
-
No, one class is favoured. It's a stupid argument for people that have anger issues...

Edited by Pitts No Chill: 9/26/2016 4:18:49 AMI personally think it's because people choose a class that doesn't represent their play style. My opinion on the matter is that hunters are fast play meant to rush in and take objectives and score quick kills, titans are semi fast for holding the objective and slowly progress forward and warlocks play the supportive role designed to maintain those objectives and I believe they were intended to be the buff support unit but that kind of fell through given the mechanics and gameplay of an FPS which forced bungie to change how they performed. All in all, if you choose a fast character and you're better suited to hold objectives, of course you're going to play like trash. Then they go complain when they're being outgunned and outplayed by other people. It's not about what looks cool, it's performance. I play my hunter extremely well and can maintain a Titan almost as good but my warlock is under par and I used to love the warlock as my favorite but at the end of the day, I don't complain because I've seen exceptional work out of the warlock. Truth is, I'm just a terrible warlock player.
