I think it's fine how it is. It's all purely cosmetic and if you make it too easy then everyone will have everything and it'll lose its appeal. It's a lot like getting exotics in Y1 before Xur sells them. It feels nice to have something others don't. The difference is these are all cosmetic only and won't affect gameplay or leave people out of LFG groups.
