I've had the same experience as most with it being a ghost town. Only twice has there been others there. I've read in this thread about walking slowly and it does matchmaking, but I haven't tried that. I assumed there had to be people in the same server wanting to play and there never is.
The thing with only being able to carry one offering is beyond frustrating. I'm only making attempts to run this to complete the book. Seems like way too much of a hassle to actually assimilate 8-9 people for the perfected offering. I can only have my own fireteam of 3 and hope other people show up.
If they explained this better in streams, as I've seen mentioned, then I missed it. Should millions of Destiny players be expected to know what stream to watch to figure out how to participate in a public event? That's absurd.
I love Destiny and RoI. No other game touches it, but this is a flawed area that needs to be addressed.
