Stop limiting Archon's Forge

Bungie, I appreciate that you learned from Court of Oryx. That was honestly some of the most fun I had in TTK. You made Forge better by having exclusive gear and making the drops end game worthy (at least for now). It's also a lot of fun with the axes that spawn and lots of enemies, so on and so forth. So why is it when I go to the Forge it's always empty? Well, two things: It's too hard to get a group together to do it. It's too hard to keep it going because offerings don't drop enough and we can only hold one. This is a big part of your new dlc. Stop holding it back and let it take center stage as a viable way to gear up. Let the offerings stack/drop way more of them and see if you can find a way to instance people into an instance with other people who may be running their own offerings.

  • I've done 20+ of these at every level and still not got any drops directly related to it. Which is good because I will keep going back and they are great battles. But keys never drop. It's crazy.

    • Just want to be able to join it with all my friends, why do I have to message people who are there and ask for an invite so I can get more than two people there with me? It blows, just let us take six on patrol, like you should've been able to since day one.

    • I agree with this post. My friends and I decided that we'll use up any non-perfected offerings, but save perfected ones until we all have one so we can do a bunch at once. That means 3 runs. Meanwhile, back in my vault I have over 50 runea of different types because they were too common. There needs to be a decent balance.

      • Just a tip for finding groups, try setting your lobby to public instead of private; I just did this and two out of the three times I went into the forge there were groups in the event. So it might prioritize matching open parties with other people, I'm going to keep trying it and see how often it happens; considering the first time I met other people during the event was literally moments after setting my party status to open and entering the area I think it's worth looking into.

        • I've found the forge mostly empty except once in 3 days and I have frequequented the area aplenty.

          • I don't even care about drops and whatnot. I just really think we should be able to do it more. And not have to pay with those keys to get back in. Make it glimmer. Something we have a lot of or especially strangers will not help and the community will help eachother even less. This game and community really need to rely more on teamwork for a game like this. I remember the first commercial with the 3 characters on the hill. Don't make it hard for us to do that in the new coo, of the game besides pvp.

            • Yea it's so annoying that we can only carry 1 Siva offering at a time. You set up a fireteam and then we run out of offerings really quickly.

            • My only gripe, when lucky enough to get a group going for awhile, and I fill the postmaster with green class items. Who knows what I lost with postmaster auto deletes...

              • From my experience offerings drop aplenty, and there is always a mob of people in the forge. I would, however, like to be able to hold more than one offering. I mean I can carry around 9 rocket launchers, but I cant fit a couple small vials in my pocket?

Like thE crystals from POE

                • Nay, they have not limited far enough. • To start the forge you need 7 people, each with two offerings. • Each person must have pre-ordered Destiny 2 • Must have the original Ghost with famed actor Peter Dinklage's voice with them • Must have a pre-nerf Y1 Gjallarhorn in their heavy slot, a pre-nerfed Y1 Vex Mythoclast in their primary slot and a pre-nerfed Y1 Icebreaker in their special slot • Must have beaten Randal and Xylar the Timeless at least once • Must have banged the Queen • Must be light level 420 • Must be on Deej's mute list • Must have earned all the PlayStation exclusives • Must be playing on a WiiU console • Must know who SmoggyPluto is • Must have died only 3 times in all the jumping puzzles. This is a platformer, not a shooter. • Must admit Destiny has no flaws whatsoever • Must like, share, and subscribe to my Twitch channel Then, and only then, can you finally go past the start screen and choose your character. After that, it's as simple as loading up the Plaguelands and going to the Archon's Forge to grind for irrelevant gear. Business as usual.

                    • Increse drops: 3 legendaries that can drop at max light for the highest level, the 2 for the mid at 380 light, and 1 for the easiest max at 360. Able to carry max of each ofering and increse their drop rate wile in arcons forge

                    • Archons Forge is a complete piece of shit. Everything about it is totally unclear. I put in an offering with my friend and it immediatley locked us out of the arena and when we tried to get back in it just ate the offering and kicked us out. Cant hold more then one and its totally random when you get them. The mechanics are just guess your way through a few waves and then kill a boss. The gear drops that were supposidly amazing? Nothing but regular blue engrams so far. Total let down, worst part of Rise of Iron tbh

                        Grinded 4 hours patrol yesterday I couldn't even get a green offering to drop fml. I have 2 characters at 350 in that time I've only ever had 1 green offering.

                      • Biggest WTF moment was when I used an offering and died the first time. Sure I'll respawn, outside the F'ing event area and am now locked out of my own event!!!

                        • TBH I don't really like it. It is too effing hard to find offerings, it is very rare when someone comes along, and it is just so complex it isn't even fun. And I have to have 20 victories in this police of sh*t!?!?

                          • Agreed. It feels like they have over-complicated it given that CoO had a good thing going. Give us a horde mode concept with CoO style set-up/access and things will run more smoothly
