Stop limiting Archon's Forge
Bungie, I appreciate that you learned from Court of Oryx. That was honestly some of the most fun I had in TTK. You made Forge better by having exclusive gear and making the drops end game worthy (at least for now). It's also a lot of fun with the axes that spawn and lots of enemies, so on and so forth.
So why is it when I go to the Forge it's always empty? Well, two things:
It's too hard to get a group together to do it.
It's too hard to keep it going because offerings don't drop enough and we can only hold one.
This is a big part of your new dlc. Stop holding it back and let it take center stage as a viable way to gear up. Let the offerings stack/drop way more of them and see if you can find a way to instance people into an instance with other people who may be running their own offerings.

Dropped in a blue offering. Got s green weapon for beating it. Got a perfected offering from someone else's run that I am still a ways off from being able to complete (some rando put one in and we got taints handed to us eventually at the boss) It's like they have a decent idea here but absolutely awful implementation and piss poor (thus far) reward

Agreed. If you're going to limit SIVA offerings, that's fine, but there needs to be some kind of guaranteed reward, otherwise this will wither on the vine. And judging by this first week, when I'm running solo, I've rarely run across others doing itZ

It seems pretty bad to me. Bad as in, I never find anybody in there. Barely am finding people patrolling in archons keep either.

I've had the same experience as most with it being a ghost town. Only twice has there been others there. I've read in this thread about walking slowly and it does matchmaking, but I haven't tried that. I assumed there had to be people in the same server wanting to play and there never is. The thing with only being able to carry one offering is beyond frustrating. I'm only making attempts to run this to complete the book. Seems like way too much of a hassle to actually assimilate 8-9 people for the perfected offering. I can only have my own fireteam of 3 and hope other people show up. If they explained this better in streams, as I've seen mentioned, then I missed it. Should millions of Destiny players be expected to know what stream to watch to figure out how to participate in a public event? That's absurd. I love Destiny and RoI. No other game touches it, but this is a flawed area that needs to be addressed.

Here's my experience with both CoO and AF: Finally find group of people at event, join in and help for a few rounds, perfected siva drops for me/or my antiquated rune fills up....they all leave...This happened so many times during CoO and what really frustrated me enough to make me go back to ESO for a while. I know, I can find groups to join on lfg [b]but[/b], I shouldn't have to if these are [i]public[/i] events.

They are making this very slow from the start. Everything we do or have to do seems to take forever and always has something to make it go even slower.

Been there many times and no one is ever there, except for the giant shooting eyeball.

Had a hell of a time in the forge today we managed to get 8 guardians in there but that was after a half hour of orbiting in and out, messaging people to join the party and invite our friends. But it was super fun once we wrangled everyone up and got like 5+ perfected runs in. You have to be patient, friendly, and (in true Destiny fashion) a little lucky. Offering drops need to be increased though no doubt and I've always wanted 6 man patrol. That would be real dope.

Who else thinks that we should be able to take a fire team of 9 into patrol so we can fill the Archon's Forge?! Why wasn't this in to begin with?!

4 RepliesI agree it can be tough to get offerings. today when at the forge someone sent me a party invite. That had eight people ,then asked me to send an invite to two people in the party. We ended up making 2 fire teams of 3, and one with two players. We had eight people running around the forge, perfected offerings were a breeze. Everyone had a siva offering on them and one in the vault, we just kept burning through challenges. Some offerings would drop and we would keep going! Got a lot of archon forge specific loot.

I just want to get my bounties done, but the Forge is a ghost town. :(
