What could bungie really do about it though? Cause if they make another update to try and fix it wouldn't the PlayStation still want to download 1.28 cause it came before?

They'll just have to patch it, 1.28.1 is what it'll be most likely. It's not a new patch per se, but the same old patch with the extra bit of code stuck on the side to let it pass through Mediacom gates unaffected. 1.28 becomes obsolete. It has too, otherwise it could crop up a year from now and start all over. Oye!! That would suck
