So let me start off by saying, I am not a crazy Destiny player like most of you. I do not play all the time by any means. Sometimes not playing for months. I Purchased Rise of Iron DLC and was excited to try to get back into it. But I CAN NOT EVEN PLAY IT!! My light level is at 231 right now and it says I need to be at a level 280 to even play the DLC I paid for?? WTF!! That's not right. I don't want to have to grind to get my levels up to be able to play something I paid for. Am I missing something? Anyone else run into this problem? Help me.

The whole grind mentality is what is wrong with this game as a whole. You should be able to jump in and play for the pure enjoyment, which should include any DLC you buy. You shouldn't be forced to "grind" some ridiculous amount in order to play.

1 Replyjesus, how long were you out?! I could play for about 30-40 minutes every few days and made it up 10-20 light levels a week. A light level that low means you haven't done anything. since before the April update let alone TTK release. There is no way you'll be able to just jump 100 light to play. You have to go grind and earn gear. Go play TTK story and you'll level up quick. Go buy Vanguard items to jump light. Grind Crucible for items. Also, you aren't entitled to just jump and get ahead of everything just because you bought the 4th DLC. You have to earn your way up to the challenges and missions. Its just how MMOs and RPGs work. Destiny is a grind game, you don't just get things you think you're entitled to.

Buy three armor pieces for 225 legendary marks at 350 light. That would take one day. Now you must be at least 280 light. FIXED

Go play strikes for a couple days to a week you should be gtg.

Honestly you wouldn't want to play it at any lower than 280. You'll get wrecked by basically everything and it will not be very enjoyable IMO

Sucks to be you

5 RepliesLol. Buying a DLC and expecting to just jump into it without any work. You have to play ttk mate, it's hella easy to get to 320, let alone 280
