This temporary fix does work, if not first time then at least 5 times, then give it an hour then try again, me and my son do this every day and we do connect guaranteed, or i would not still be playing this game.

Sorry, but your post isn't needed, I made this video so people could join without a problem. This can be done at any time or during any game, even while already on Destiny.
