Most unbalanced meta ever
This sandbox update is absolutely awful. I've never seen more juggernaut strikers running around with shotguns out. I even just played clash and all eleven other players had shotguns equipped.
Not a single player in the first mlg match used a sniper. That's simple proof that this game's new weapon sandbox is not balanced. I don't even know why MLG is covering Destiny.
The skill gap has drastically decreased in the last week due to the sniper nerf. Now we just have bum rushing, no skill, no strategy shotgunners ruling the crucible. Fusion rifles don't stand a chance and neither do sidearms. Shotgun range needs to be cut in half to make this game not boring, and dry.
My excitement for Rise of Iron has significantly decreased due to the stale state of the crucible. With the sniper nerf, Bungie has begun to cater to casuals.

Thorn Banner and Shot-package shotguns *cough* Felwinter's *cough* with rangefinder and final round/luck in the chamber. That was broken.

While I do have a strong hatred towards shotguns in Destiny PvP and wish they would do something to the high impact, high range variants.... there is still a skill gap when comes to them. Usually when I get killed by a shotgun it's because I got outplayed. A bad or average shotgun warrior is easy to counter with your own movement and engaging the fight accordingly. Naturally if you're going to plant your feet and try to shoot him out you're going to lose but who's fault is that? Theirs for using a shotgun or yours for not trying to outplay them.

The nerf herders asked for it...by nerfing shoulder charge the Titans chose the shield, and who wouldn't use a shotty with the striker class

2 RepliesCrucible is the most balanced it has ever been, if you can't kill a shotgun rusher before they get to you you must have been one of these people sitting at the back constantly with a sniper! also if you use a sniper by sitting at the back of maps like they are meant to be used they still work perfectly fine.

That said the first 2 matches of the event had alpha with 6 shotguns stomping vs 3 snipers who couldn't do anything due to the nerfs, 2 shotguns who played alright and a plan c from vanguard Later minus vanguard they all swapped to shotguns and won 1 game. Buff primaries such as auto rifles and some pulses and this game would be fun again imo. Secondary weapons are still everyone's go to for a reason.

I agree, it's super boring now. I can shotgun warrior with the best and I have been finding myself doing it often as of late because of ten whole, if you can't beat them joint them thing. It just gets boring really quickly. Sniping my is so much more fun, in 6s though it's actually pretty bad.

I've been kicking butt against shotgunners with Sidearms. I get killed by shotguns maybe like 2 or 3 times a game, depending on the map. I just use my resources and map awareness to play around them. See someone around a corner on the radar? Back up, let them challenge you, then destroy them with a fusion or sidearm. My little smoke traps I use on my Nightstalker help counter juggernauts too.

Imo if someone runs shotguns as their primary exclusively they're just lazy. If you rush at me with a shotgun, I will sidearm you.
