Legendary Edition - Code not working

Hey, this is my second post regardig the same topic. I recently bought "Destiny: The Legendary Edition" on amazon from a privat retailer. It was new and in perfect condition. But after installing the main game and trying to enter the legendary edition's code, it didn't work and I opened my first thread. The result was, that I should contact the retailer. He stated that he got the game as a gift but already had sold his PS3-system, so he never opened the game, nor used the legendary edition's code. So, in theory I should be able to use the code until today, the 15th of september (as mentioned before, I already tried it the 14th numerous times), without getting any kind of notification about expiration. Also, in my opinion lies the problem in Bungie's responsibilty and not in the retailer, so I really hope to get some kind of help from them this time. Maybe they shortened the codes validation time? But what about me or other people that just bought the game recently? I'd like to know what I could do now since I'm absolutely clue- and helpless. Regards.

  • This is something that, unfortunately, the retailer is your prime contact on. You can also try to contact Activision. As Destiny's publisher, Activision is responsible for the physical publication of the product. I will note though that, per Activision's support site, the recommended step for issues like the one you provide, is to contact your retailer. https://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Destiny-Support As the game developer, Bungie is not involved in code distribution, and is unable to provide a code. I like to analogize the situation to a book - Bungie is the author, Activision is the book publisher, and your retailer is the bookstore. If the book is missing pages, you don't call the author to replace it - typically you take it back to the bookstore.
