Why Do Fusion Rifles Piss People Off?
I have been changing up builds and trying new weapons out lately. I have never once gotten hate mail in the Crucible until this last week when I was trying out my Hitchhiker FR4. I have had probably 5 or 6 messages over about 5 days along the lines of "gratz on being able to use a fusion scrub" lol it's pretty funny really. Do you pro fusioners endure this too? haha :'D

They are a one hit kill from like 50ft and not all the bolts have to hit you have a video on my account getting killed by a thesan from forever away and not every bolt hit me. Was full Health as well.

2 RepliesThat's awesome. More power to you. The early days of Destiny saw fusion rifles left and right in the crucible, and now they're hardly used. Add some diversity to this game and change up the meta a little.

1 ReplyI guess because some can one shot kill at a range difficult for snipers and too far for shotguns. I've been having some good kills recently with my Thesan. Very satisfying indeed 😀

Anything that can kill in one shot (press or holding of a button\s) just kind of triggers Vietnam style flashbacks in me. Really wish I could find a way to lessen my ptsd, but alas it isn't that simple.

I got some hate mail the other day, kinda. The individual in question called me a...how can I put this without getting ninja hit? He/she called me a pussycat. But without the cat bit. I simply respond with "ok". He/she responded with "Sorry, I'm just salty about all the fusion kills. GG.

Because if used right, its almost always a one shot. People hate being one shotted.

People can use what they want. They paid for the right to play this game. Like one poster said he adapts to it and kills them anyways. Personally the one I hate is murmur but if you are good you should be able to get away. Unfortunately I'm not lol.

Haters can't handle the VOOP. Fusions are outliers in the meta, and the mentality is that they are cheap, cuz you can punish shotguns and supers. That Bladedancer was primed before getting Vooped. Even so, Hitchhiker's bolts do 50 a peice. 4 of It's 7 bolts is enough to kill a max armor titan.

54 Repliesthe piss me off because they can ohk you to the body from across the map..... simple as that. to me it is like being final rounded, but by a queenbreaker's bow. really there is not much difference to me. they represent everything i hate about the game in a rifle. they might as well shoot fusion grenades out of them. the simplest way to try to describe my gripe would be to ask a simple question: why are you using the fusion rifle rather than a shotgun? no one that is honest would answer anything other than that they know they can map people with the fusion way farther than even the OG felwinter's in year 1. they will also tell you that they dont like shotguns............. which makes no sense, because fusions are the same thing, but with 10x the range. it really is a coward way to play

Apart from Pocket Infinity I don't and never have used them. Probably because they're difficult to use and I'm too lazy and shit to learn how. So if I get killed by one it's good with me - respect!
