what makes a hunter?
not taking about specific subclssses or even really gameplay.
lore-wise, when you think about a hunter, what sort of personality, characteristics, and little details do you think they have?

3 RepliesWell, I main a Hunter. What is it to be a Hunter? And, moreover, a Bladedancer? It means venturing out into the Night, knowing that whatever secrets you reclaim from the Darkness is a new weapon against it. It means knowing your weapons like a part of your own body, so that it might aid you in much the same manner. It means that to watch you as a Bladedancer fight is to watch art unfold--Bladedancers are not so much looking for an easy way under your armor so much as painting your demise, contrary to Vanguard assertion. It means you must respect Warlocks, because they're more like you than you think. It means dressing way better than Warlocks, because they might have coattails, but come on, capes kick all kinds of ass. Plus, we have hoods. I mean, what wizard doesn't have an actual, cloth hood? Pffft. It means dishing out healthy amounts of snark to your compatriots, maintaining a wit as quick as your reflexes. And lastly, as a Bladedancer, it means flensing apart your enemies with a storm of razors, so that nothing might stand between you and your goal.

6 Repliesgoing it alone in missions, hunters were always the ones to be without a team. this also means they have to be tougher and quicker. i built my hunter like a tank but he still moves quickly. can't remember what armor says it but the first hunters were also the first map makers. they had to venture into the unknown with nothing but a sniper to lead the way and a hand cannon to do the talking. titans sit behind their walls and warlocks bury themselves in their libraries learning what someone had to find out on their own. am i bashing on titans and warlocks? yes i am cry about it

Hm. So you wanna learn about the Hunter eh? Alright I suppose I can help out. *Ahem* LISTEN UP! FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF THIS COMMENT YOU ARE MY BITCHES! WHEN I SAY "JUMP" YOU SAY "LIFT, GLIDE, OR DOUBLE JUMP?"! IS THAT UNDERSTOOD!? Now that that is out of the way. First thing you need to know about: [b]The Cloak[/b]. Ah the cloak. Warlocks love 'em. Titans want 'em. Hunters got 'em. Although as sexy as they maybe you would be surprised at how effective a good cloak can be. There are legends of Hunters that were able to kill the strongest of the Ahamkara by simply flicking their cloak in the dragon's general direction. A Hunter with a good cloak can cause Titans and Warlocks in their vicinity to have sudden orgasms. Yes, yes all this is true. Second thing you need to know:...What did you think there was anything else you needed to know? The cloak is all that matters. Titans and Warlock will try to downplay them, but when one takes a peek on a Titan or Warlock's laptop the first thing you see is a web search of "Hunters wearing sexy cloaks". You would also notice some lotion on a near by counter.

Hunter is by far my favorite of all classes my main guy A hunter is someone who isn't afraid to take charge and take a mission alone someone who goes anywhere anytime to take whatever they can carry while killing anyone trying to stop them a hunter is the guy on the team who says stand back and just watch me do the heavy lifting when most likely they can do it lol but they gonna give their 100% give you the truth straight forward and 90% will be pure sarcastic with you you cant be too smart or too tough you gotta have an attitude you gotta be street smart and scruffy and extremely cocky

When I picture a hunter I picture standing on a cliff away from the fight using Ice Breaker to clear adds and dps the boss. They are the ones that take out the biggest threats while Titans and warlocks work on wiping the enemy adds. Especially in first year where I was a Gunslinger. I feel all the Solar classes really depict what the classes mean to me.

3 RepliesI main a Hunter. To me it's playing the game on the the hardest difficulty. Unlike Titans or Warlocks, Hunters are killed easily in pve. Which makes the game more fun and challenging. Its like Pokemon Red and Blue. The starter you choose depends on the games difficulty.

Most of the time we're all pretty wasted attempting and failing to try eachothers supers out. Trying to throw them hammers with my hunter hands, while seriously drunk, does not go well. Didn't realise my hand was actually burnt till the morning. The Warlock Barry, decided to do a suicide shot of absinthe, followed by a huge bong, all while standing on his head. He then grabbed my blades, attempted to swipe in bladedancer fashion, ended up blinking himself into a wall. Oh how we laughed. Oh god Steve the Titan, oh man crazy Steve topped us all. Had a go at throwing a nova bomb, ended up destroying his girlfriends new sparrow. And she never found out!!! Top man! Yyyuuuppp, that's what been a hunter means to me, good brews, good buddies and many shenanigans. Party on Guardians.
