I was thinking, why don't we make this a thing? It'd be a nice little home for us Guardians to spend out time while not killing Minions of the darkness. You and your fireteam members can sit on the couch and or chair by interacting with it through holding the square (X) button. After a short time has passed without you moving your controller, you could have the guardians run a scene where one of the guardians does hand gestures as if he was explaining a story and the other guardians laugh in response. This would give our guardians a more "human" feel, as opposed to the Terminator-type that we're all accustomed to through in-game cutscenes. Between the couch and chair is a golden chest. Every day, when you open the chest you get 500 Glimmer, and have a 0.001% chance of getting an Exotic shard. Within this room is also an Exotic Kiosk, which shows all of our Exotics that we have acquired so far, and allows up to pick them up without having to go down to the Vanguard quarters. It's to the far right in this image:

To the right of the room is this door (The entrance to your house where you spawn in is up the steps):

When you walk through the above mentioned door, you end up in your guardian's sleeping quarters, and to the right side of the room, you see a library, like the one linked here:

When you walk up to the book shelf, you see the "Hold Square(X) to inspect your Grimoire Cards" prompt. Essentially, this bookshelf would allow us Guardians to access our grimoire cards in game and read the lore, as opposed to having to go to the website. If I remember correctly, the devs spoke about trying to find a way to do just that without making things to cluttered, well here's your solution.
The chest you see in the sleeping quarters will give you 10 planetary materials (Any planet, it'd be RNG-based in terms of which planet materials you get) every day, with a 5% chance of getting 10 Legendary Marks. The reason the chest is there, is that they'll give you the feeling that your Guardian is doing stuff while you're gone, and isn't just stuck in time until we return.
We could also set our default spawn location. So instead of us booting up the game and ending up in orbit, we could be taken to our home (We can have the option to load into the game in Orbit, or at our house in the Settings menu).
So what do you guys think? Is this a good idea or no?

2 RepliesY'know when you mentioned the hand gestures I had visions of the Guardians miming supers (titan: *raises hand up, arcs it down into his other hand and makes a huge explosion motion while everyone else laughs*)

1 ReplyWhat if I don't want a Trials banner and instead want a Reef banner?
-
1 ReplyGood idea for floofers and wall walkers. A hunter's home is out in the wilds under an open sky.
-
I would want a hatstand. Cause I want Oryx's ass on it, as I was promised in the TTK ViDoc

I like it.

Edited by Master Chief: 9/16/2016 6:49:46 PMMan, this is a great idea. Don't see these kind of ideas on bungo's forum these day. Bump!

Ya it is put into other mmos and also open world games plus it would give us our own space no like where other people are but would it be like a cabal ship Design where it's a ship but also a living space or a house that we can get in the reef and the tower

This is a perfect addition to the game. We've been needing something like this to humanize our characters since the game began. Well done!
-
This sounds really cool, I know I would like this feature in the game

Edited by Bucket of Tears: 9/16/2016 12:11:11 PMHonestly doesn't fit in a game like this. It's a first person shared world shooter, not exactly an MMO. I'd rather they spend time making real content than things like this that the vast majority will never use.
