Anyone bothered by class body types?
When creating a character and new to Destiny you really don't know what to expect. You have a choice between three classes that all seem cool so you choose one. You have a choose between 3 races that seem interesting enough so you choose and then customize your appearance. My main concern is that I don't think the body types of Warlocks and Hunters are fitting at all with their classes. Titans are supposed to be brawny and strong. The body type of the male looks right. The male Hunter and Warlock though really shouldnt be ripped. I cringe everytime I see male Hunters that look like the Hulk. I think to myself how realistic is it to see big hulking hunters being nimble and sprinting through the wilds or hiding in canopies. How odd it is for a buscular warlock to sit in a library and study Hive arcana or research topics dealing with the Darkness. Hunters should look agile and lean. Warlocka should not look so intimidating physically but have a presence of "space magic" about them. Titans need to look like tanks. Just my thoughts but I was curious whether anyone else felt this way.
Edit: I don't think people are understanding what im saying. I dont have a problem with the characters being fit. It only makes since that they are. What Im saying is aside from outer gear I always found it puzzling that the same base model was used for each class. I understand why from a design standpoint but its has always seemed a little odd to me. Read the description of Rezyl and you have a picture of a Titan.

While I get what you're saying, I think that an explanation lies with the ghosts. When they brink you back for the first time they most likely make adjustments to make you more able to fight the darkness. How likely is it that every person with light in their corpse also had the exact same body type, height, weight, and were all equally fit? Not likely at all. Maybe Zavala was 5'2" and bulimic before he first died. Maybe Ikorra was 350 lbs. Would either be able to fight the darkness? Maybe Ikorra if she rolled down a hill I guess, but you see what I'm getting at? The ghosts have a blueprints for ideal warriors of the light which they apply to guardians when they first revive them.

To be fair, it's hard to not stay fit when you're sprinting miles at a time with two hundred pounds of armor and weaponry strapped to you. Not that hard to believe they'd all be pretty built

I always found the hunters to be more compact and they definitely look more agile in my opinion. The warlock has always been very lanky to me, which fits in my opinion also. I think they look VERY fitting.

2 RepliesGuardians are effectively a military. Militaries have physical training. Thus all guardians will be physically fit. Locks look the thinest and Hunter look good but not overly muscular. They will not look like your average Olympic sprinter, because unlike the sprinter they have to fight after they run.

1 ReplyI think they're alright I mean Titans need to be strong and they are, warlocks use their mind and people always say healthy body healthy mind and hunters need to be strong to be quick, you can't have somebody with no muscle be able to react quickly and make midair turns.

The Russian boxer from [u]Rocky 4[/u] (I think it was the fourth one). He majored in chemical engineering at MIT, yet, during filming of Rocky, sent Stallone to the hospital for several weeks. Know why? They were boxing, and Lundgren punched Stallone so hard that it bruised his heart. Your post seems stereotypical in saying that smart people can't also be physically superior. The Ghost was looking for the Guardian for a long time, and finally found the host, someone at the top of human evolutionary charts, with all the perfect attributes for defending the solar system from evil. So no, it's not strange that the scholars are moderately beefy, because they were meant to be.

There are fan made depictions of Toland and other guardians who do not have the same body type as the characters we have displayed. I stated how I perceive they would look as a representation of their classes and I don't think people are understanding this.

5 RepliesIf you have seen the series arrow, Oliver is built how I imagine a hunter would be. He is very defined and well built. How the hunter is portrayed. But is isn't jacked like a Titan would be. The Titan probably should of had more muscle mass than a hunter. A Titan would look more like how Arnold Schwarzenegger was in predator (post steroid weightlifting).

When we were reanimated we had the same body types as before. Think True Blood, where whatever you looked like when you become a vampire is how you will be forever. On another point, when I played through as a warlock, I never had him sit in a library to study anything. He went right into action and never really got a good break from fighting. So while the warlock order might generally be scholars, our warlocks just joined the ranks and are just soldiers. Same for hunters. They might be generalized to be stealth and nimble, which shows in their abilities, but how often do our hunters take time to fit their descriptions? To be honest, gameplay differs very little between classes, so if they all have similar body types, that's fine. They play the same story, do the same things, have the same exercises.
