How come the youtubers are able to play rise of iron. For one in not watching any of the videos. I'm just gonna wait.

1 ReplyLast week commercial to get out a free Advertising for people to see their favorite Youtubers playing the game before buying/pre-ordering it. Free advertising, must be cheaper to fly out youtubers to play the game than to pay for advertising. Markerting strategy and it seems to work ;)

13 RepliesThey need someone to promote this poor/unbalance/recycle game.
-
I wasn't able to play rise of iron... I've been swindled
-
4 RepliesNone of them sound really satisfied. And considering for all we know this is the last expansion for a year, destiny may actually die before destiny 2 comes out. Since this is less content than ttk which will be stretched out over the next year, it just can't last that long. There's no way.
-
Because they all went to visit Bungie Studios in Seattle over the weekend.
-
1 ReplyI kinda wish that they'd give regular players a chance to fly out to Bungie HQ. You know Mayen decide on a raffle or something
-
They let IGN do it as a reward for exposing the loot cave
-
8 RepliesWait.....they get to play early??
-
They basically got paid to got to Bungie HQ and capture footage to advertise RoI with. This has been done with other games like CoD too. Get used to it because its the norm now.
-
Because they're special, duh...
-
they got invited to bungie hq and got some hands on time.

Man this whole game just been a -blam!-ed up practice. I'm so confused . I mean kills dont the count. Streamers get privileges. Headshot snipers don't kill... body shotty blast don't kill. Ghost bullets. Manipulation in mm, Cheaters that aren't addressed. Nerfs to -blam!- over pve.... aaaaaaahhhhh Now this I have pre-ordered yet... I may be under my last days of destiny. I still have dark below, house of wolves, and ttk to complete.... I just don't like the practices in this company
-
12 RepliesDude it sickens me the power these passive aggressive beta males have. Streamers and Youtubers are what causes nerfs. They are the reason Destiny is trying to be some mlg PvP game. It drives me nuts that these guys are so popular. I've seen mine craft toys of the avatars of twitch nerds sold in stores. How the hell is this geek a celebrity? I won't even go into how a lot of those Streamers (I'm looking at you famous mine craft people) sexually harass their female followers. I just don't freaking get it.

Marketing
-
They devote their jobs to making or streaming videos of destiny. Bungie takes that advantage to advertise and to hype up fans.
-
2 RepliesFree advertising. Well... not free, but extremely cheap in comparison to normal advertising.
-
1 ReplyEssentialy, the reason youtubers/twitchers get favoured by most online game developers is free advertising and marketing for their games. For example, why pay money to self promote to say, a million people?, if you could just get 10 top youtubers who each have 100,000 subs + a piece and give them gifts, invite them over to playtest etc. They will then go away and hype it all for you. Obviously the numbers above are a hypothetical situation. But you get the drift
-
Most complained a lot, now they paid them. So they hype, then the cycle will repeat. Bitch, leave, comeback, promote.
-
Because they go to conventions where Bungie showcases the new DLC.

1 ReplyBecause they are special snowflakes and you're nothing but a sheep stuck in an endless illusion created by the shepherds. What are the shepherds you ask? No need for you to know, you damn sheep!
