We only know about the fallen being in Russia,But what's going on outside of Europe,Our says that we are the last "safe" city.Is he implying that there are others??If so why can't we bring them to safety we have enough power to Make trips in and out of the city,Even off world.

1 ReplyMiami Beach was one of the last to go, when a detachment of Cabal Centurions decided to go swimming, and displaced so much water, the city was completely flooded.

1 ReplyOverheard the bounty robot in the towers at something about the New York crater, props my wont be visiting there haha Thinking about it, might be a small dig at the division, bungie throwing shade

8 RepliesI hope Egypt has an area to explore in the future. The Pyramids would be interesting, with new enemies like the Anubis/Jackal Men. Europe and North America would be awesome. With new and current Fallen Add designs. Jupiter cloud city area, with constant storm skybox would be wicked. Jupiter's moons hollowed out with current and new Hive add designs. Terraformed Neptune, as a ocean world with underwater colonies overrun by a advanced Cybernetic squid race like the Ceph from Crysis would be sick. There is so much potential with this game.

1 ReplyIf people still live outside the city they mostly live like small tribes or very small settlements. It's too dangerous to stay in large groups.

3 RepliesEdited by Onyx Guard: 9/13/2016 1:32:31 PMIt's on Earth. The were a lot of cities.
Something tells me Detroit would be exactly the same as it is now.
These were settlements out in the Wilds and Guardians did and possibly still do conduct pilgramages to bring them to the City. Everyone off world is dead though, no question. But Fallen hold complete dominion over all of Earth, Guardians don't just stick to Old Russia, they're everywhere.

Edited by Lonewolf 762X511: 9/13/2016 7:24:05 AMIt wouldn't surprise me if there are small city's on earth that have no clue of the last city and the traveler. I mean it been ages since the collapse.

2 RepliesEdited by FrenchFries: 9/12/2016 7:33:26 AMYes. If you go into the Cayde's Stash mission on Earth, go up the elevator and jump up onto the radio masts on top, where the dead ghost is and face the launchpad for the colony ships (the one you enter and climb up). Then look East by about 50 degrees and you will see the outline of a city in the distance.

2 RepliesIt's called The Last City for a reason...

1 ReplyThink there is some truth to your OP. While we may guard the Last City, that doesn't mean there are not patches of humanity throughout Earth fighting back against the Darkness. Would be cool to explore this ideas in game.

Hopefully old Chicago will be in Destiny 2

Edited by Patriot121: 9/12/2016 6:13:18 AMOther cities exist, they just aren't populated and largely destroyed. The City is the single largest and safest remaining settlement, because the guardians went out and gathered all of the small isolated settlements they could and brought them together. It's certainly possible other human settlements exist, but they're going to to very very small groups that only really survive by going completely unnoticed. One of the crucible maps (rusted lands?) was one such small settlement that got into trouble with the Hive. A group of hunters neutralized the hive seeder then brought the few remaining survivors back to the City.

There's the European Dead Zone and Old Chicago, that we know of.

4 RepliesWell we do have the Eastern flood zone, which seems to be an actual catastrophic flood cause during the collapse. On the map Rusted Lands, you can see a destroyed city in the distance, and on the spawn of each side plenty of shallow water like a flood. So I imagine east of the cosmodrome is flooded a bit. Europe was invaded by the fallen, considered a dead zone. On the map Widows Court you can see a fallen walker downed but aiming at a tank. It seems there was a last stand for some survivors. Rahool says Guadians have been to Brazil I hope we can visit North America, which rahool also states was an empire. Hopefully go to Chicago or New York, or LA because they are the major cities
-
2 RepliesThere are other smaller settlement but none (that we know of) have guardians so they have to either stay small or constantly keep moving to avoid fallen or hive attacks. You'll probably be interested to know that the map "rusted lands" was actually an old settlement.
-
Well, part of a Hunter's job is to help bring survivors back to the city.
-
Somewhere in the game (grimoire or in game, not sure) they did mention Manhattan

7 RepliesThere's Chicago but it's not safe. Just like today.
sarcasm
1 ReplySupposed to be Old Chicago but from what I understand it was cut

9 RepliesWe know the Fallen are in other places than Russia. The House of Devils have a strong presence in the European Dead Zone. We have thus far only been able to secure a few areas for the crucible in this part of the world but it's one of the places we will likely visit in the future. We also know that Old Chicago is a swamp city now, it was initially intended to be a playable area but was cut from the game. We don't know what enemies are in Old Chicago though, and of course there's the Last City, a city we watch over from the tower in an unspecified location on earth.
