Edited by Kone19ps: 9/13/2016 6:47:22 PMThey want it restricted to the aura in kings fall. It would be a ubiquitous strategy for dps in the next raid. I was even using it for the less mobile bosses in strikes.
-
Maybe for the new raid
-
Eh, my only assumption on it was to make the raid strategy a little more challenging.
-
it was completely unnecessary but it was kinda required in the raid most of the time and Bungie hates that. why do you think gally got nerfed.
-
It bs, wasn't game braking, so wtf bungie?
-
Edited by thestranger: 9/12/2016 8:24:07 AM-blam!- you bungie! This gun isnt even good outside of PvE and after allll that time grinding for those stupid fragments you just completely ruin it???? FFS!!!!

5 RepliesLook guys just calm down everybody. Here is a lttle strategy I cooked up: Have defenders still use bubbles. Run max recovery, use TOM to kill first ogre, switch to heavy or special to kill the next two. With weapons of light increasing damage and blessing to cover your wounds from the first ogre, you can use TOM at the fourth ogre. This gets it done and you won't run out of special/heavy by using them completely.

1 ReplyIt's only good for one boss who will be obsolete in a couple weeks.
-
No, it wasn't.
-
The gun was not nerfed. A mechanic was introduced.
-
Touch of Malice wasn't nerf'd. A strategy was.
-
7 RepliesThe ToM wasn't nerfed, it has exactly the same stats.
-
Could have been done by just adding extra damage against taken enemies
-
Apparently it made KF too easy, so they nerfed it just before it became irrelevant. And/or the extra DPS meant that teams would complete raid encounters noticeably faster with it than without, a la Y1 Gjallarhorn.

Edited by Selairium: 9/11/2016 8:02:21 AMNo idiot, just because you dont have the gun doesnt mean it needs a nerf, go play halo if you dont like destiny
-
Honestly does not bother me... I had already switched to sleeper on oryx for speedruns. It must have broken something in the new raid.
-
It was removed so people don't run into the new raid and destroy bosses using only touch and defender Titans.
-
5 RepliesYes nothing like a bunch of players relying on 1 weapon way to much for raiding I have used ToM a few time then it got boring use some varieties.
-
-
9 RepliesSpecifically regarding this nerf I don't really care as outside the raid I rarely used ToM. That being said the constant nerf and buff is getting a little old, just leave things be and let the players adjust as needed.
-
4 Repliesbungie is committed to destroy any "build" that users come up with.. the moment a build works, its going to be nerfed sooner or later..
-
Player created strategy, not intended. Nerfed insued Bullshit
-
Touch of malice should drain super energy in Pvp, if you drain it completely you reload, wouldn't that be pretty cool? I'd think so haha
-
For Kings Fall... no. For the rest of PvE content and potentially the new raid. Yes.
-
45 RepliesEdited by Keightley: 9/11/2016 10:26:49 PMI know why they did it. and i agree with it.
-
I think that there will be instances in the new raid that would be easily beaten with the double bubble and malice strategy. I think that's why it's nerfed. I won't be playing kings fall for much longer. DLC HYPE!!
