Seems like destiny hates year one players. All our old guns, armor, and materials are useless but the thing that annoys me the most is the nightfall strikes.
Why would you make it so much easier?
What does the "nightfall" modifier even do now?
I hate when creators make the game easy because people are mad about the difficulty. Year one players like me had to fight tooth and nail for everything we did. Exotics, raids, and especially the nightfall.
Now its so easy most of my friends can solo with enough patients.

It suites the rewards. Back then nightfall was one of your very limited ways of getting a exotic that week. Now the rewards are crap. I wouldn't do them for another vanguard ghost When I do do nightfalls, it's only for the strike specific reward

Uh.. I solo'd almost every Nightfall in yr 1 It didnt increase difficulty. It just increased the frustration factor. They are still the exact same event, just no go to orbit.. and reloading screens. It just took longer due to the loading screens. That's all you are missing.
-
Being booted to orbit was never more difficult, just more punishing. As it's been said you and your fireteam can just return to orbit manually when you wipe if you want the experience.
-
2 Replies-Posted via Internet Explorer Seriously though, if you miss it that much you can always go back to orbit yourself if you wipe
-
It didn't make it that much more difficult only more frustrating and encouraging cheese.

Your friends are doctors?

2 RepliesThe rewards aren't as good So why keep the difficulty the same if you lower the quality of the rewards?
-
I think they realized that the rewards didn't warrant the difficulty.

Because of casuals, man...casuals. In the interest of the developer to make the game more accessible to players of however many different demographics. Skill gap compression, lowering of skill ceiling, aim assist, participation trophies etc, etc. All in the interest of attracting more players. Whether it be a child or meathead with no skill or discipline, or a parent/student/whatever who has very little time to put into the game. Accessibility=higher active population=money. That simple

there is no "nightfall" modifier anymore. they simply removed it. they just change the boss damage to the burn damage.
-
Patience. Lol.
-
I'm sure 99% of players don't mind it, especially since it came with the announcement that there wouldn't be elemental primaries anymore.

Can we stop with this? Nightfalls have always been pathetically easy. Solar burn+gjallarhorn melted any boss within seconds and we had pre-nerf black hammer which let us shoot the boss over and over and never have to stop to reload. Not to mention that multi burn Nightfalls were pretty common and everyone and their mother had an elemental primary.

1 ReplyWauw did you sleep for a year?

1 ReplyWhere have you been? This has been a thing for a year now

This how things work As a game ages, it improves and fixes the worst aspects of it self.
